ŠMON Slaščičarna — Restaurant in Bled

I am a real cream cake fan and I was used to going to the lake's park cafe untill the experience declined to the point where it was too much of a hassle dealing with the staff - but here! it was our first time at Šmon and we chose it because it had glowing reviews of their service and I agree compleetely. The lady serving us was super nice, even told us everything about how they make their cakes which are by far the best on Bled. Their cream cakes are creamy, bigger and quite a bit taller than the ones in the other restaurants, plus at a great price to boot! I can't wait to go back and try the other cakes too. As a local I can for sure recommend Šmon to anyone who would like to know what a brilliant cream cake tastes like, and it is much closer to the real deal than the restaurants claiming they serve...

VERY good kremna rezina, price is still OK, size of the portion is really good. compared to the allegedly original blejski kremsniti at hotel park it is cheap really. The place is a bit away from the lake, so if you expect beautiful view then this is not for you unfortunately. This was a very local feeling place. The service was friendly. To my experience this was the best coffee in Bled. * best for me means strong, flavorful, non acidic, with good milk for cappuccino etc. , it was the best for Bled but if you come from a coffee culture you will soon see that the bar is low.
