Arca Aparthotel & Spa — Hotel in Zermatt

We had a wonderful three day stay in this hotel. Our favourites:|1. The HUGE heated indoor pool with jets. This was a great treat. Once we got in, we couldn’t get out! Also, the pool is open until 21:30, which is quite a bit later than the time other hotels typically keep their pools open. There were strict rules in the pool/spa area, which we saw people observing, and which we appreciated because it kept things neat, clean and quiet. |2. The fantastic staff - there was flooding in Zermatt before we arrived and Zermatt was cut off for a day or two. This was very stressful for us. I emailed the hotel and received a prompt, energetic and friendly reply that put our minds at ease. Staff were super welcoming when we checked in. |3. On our last day we had an early train out and couldn’t make breakfast. I informed the hotel the night before and a lovely picnic was packed for us and placed in our room fridge by the time we got back from dinner that same evening! No questions asked, no fuss and such a convenience to take the picnic on the train with us. |4. Large rooms with a beautiful modern bathroom - and robes and slippers! |5. The in-room fridge had a freezer section, so we could buy ice cream and keep it! |6. Hotel is a short walk from the train station with very clear directions provided by the hotel on booking confirmation. We love this hotel! The best hotel and friendly staff we ever met in our stay in Switzerland! We stayed 3 days from 22nd to 25th Sep 2023 and it was the best decision. ||I arrived unwell but was early for check in. So I requested to wait at the pub area. ||The staff came by 3 times to check if my name was correct as he gets the updated list of rooms being cleaned, so that he can check me in early. |When my room was ready, the staff helped to bring my luggage up! That so nice of them. |The room is very clean and it comes with kitchen and we can cook some warm|Meals as I was quite sick. The room is huge by standard. ||The room has amazing view of the Matterhorn. By just sitting at the balcony with the tea or meal was simply relaxing. ||The breakfast was awesome and the staff would greet everyone guest. ||The counter staff was also ready to help when we asked for locations of clinic. ||This hotel is also located very near the station and it just next to supermarket too. The main streets with shops are located further down. ||We simply love this hotel, for their warm hospitality and the comfort provided to us when I was sick. I had an amazing stay here with my family. The location is perfect in that it is close to the train station and town but away enough that it is quiet and not super congested. Our room was amazing with a great view from the balcony. I recommend booking a room with a view of the Matterhorn because in the morning on a clear day you can see the sun shine on the top. The Kitchenette was also very helpful especially because the Denner supermarket is steps away. The hotel staff were helpful and the breakfast buffet was great with a variety of cheeses offered. We also went to the pool and sauna and it was nice that they provided robes, towels, and slippers, for each person included in the room. The pool was amazing and the sauna/steam room was great too. We also realized that you are expected to go to the sauna naked even though it is mixed genders which surprised us! All around an amazing experience which made us really regret not staying in...
