If you are ever in Zermatt, do yourself a BIG favor and schedule a class with Claudio with European Snow Sport! My wife and I had a ½ day and a full day with him in Jan 2022. My wife missed all of last season due to injury. She was a bit nervous, but booked a lesson with Claudio to avoid developing any bad habits at the start of this season. She was also extremely nervous about getting back on skis.

Claudio is a fantastic professional skiing instructor having taught most of his life. He really helped my wife and I progress by breaking down many old bad habits. Having recovered from knee injuries himself, he understood my wife’s trepidation and guided her every step of the way until she was at ease. His instruction was clear and clarified a lot of skiing-position myths. He checks for understanding, is passionate about enabling his pupils to improve, and patient with questions as well as being fun interesting company. Having been in Zermatt/Cervinia area for several years he knows the ski area on and off pistes really well, so he offers a fantastic day’s teaching and skiing.

We had a fantastic lesson and enjoyed it so much we booked a second lesson for a whole day. Claudio achieved a great balance of 'theory' and practical exercises and at the end of the second day we were skiing pistes we had gritted our teeth on before! And without thinking about it! He was able to balance challenging us on new more difficult routes without us feeling uncomfortable or out of our league which we really appreciated because it improved our technique and the enjoyment was immense. He also took us to the Italian side of the area. Now we have a great 'toolkit' to get down most runs. We left our time with Claudio as much more confident skiers.

Finally, Claudio is clever, funny, and interesting (but modest). He is a nice person to spend time with, which in my mind is extremely important as well. Having used several instructors previously, Claudio was by far the best experienced. The only concern is whether he will be available when you are. If he has an opening, I recommend to book it asap and start looking forward to a great day!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible Ski Experience with European Snowsport!

Our family had the most amazing ski experience in Zermatt, thanks to the phenomenal instructors at European Snowsport! We were lucky to have Ellen Kjällström, Petter Hollekim, and Thomas Eckoldt as our guides, and they exceeded all our expectations.

🌟 Ellen Kjällström was absolutely incredible with our 3-year-old daughter, who was learning to ski for the first time. She was patient, kind, and made learning so much fun! Our daughter not only gained confidence but also fell in love with skiing—something we never expected at such a young age. Ellen is truly a gifted instructor, and we cannot recommend her enough! ⛷️ Petter Hollekim was an outstanding guide for me (40-year-old) and my two daughters (11 and 9 years old). He knew the mountain inside out and tailored our experience perfectly to our skill levels, ensuring we felt both challenged and safe. His technical expertise, enthusiasm, and ability to push us just enough made for an unforgettable few days. We skied terrain we never would have explored on our own, and his passion for skiing was truly contagious!

🏔️ Thomas Eckoldt was also fantastic, bringing a wealth of experience and professionalism that made every session enjoyable. His instruction was clear, his approach encouraging, and he helped refine our techniques while making sure we had a blast on the slopes.

Our experience from beginning to end with European Snowsport Zermatt has been beyond outstanding. From my initial enquiry, Laura's response was incredibly quick and informative and was able to answer all of the questions I had regarding supporting my young family on the slopes. We booked lessons for my 3 year old son and under the positive nurturing and encouraging tutoring of Charlotte his first experiences on the mountain I'm sure will set him up well for future sking. My 9 year old daughter and husband who were both first time skiers, were matched with the incredible Adam who not only managed to build confidence and skills with our daughter but was able to support my husband from Wolli park all the way to sking red and black runs by our 4th day. Adam is nothing short of an incredible instructor and undoubtedly one of the best in Zermatt. He is incredibly patient, able to keep to the tempo of the lesson positive but also challenging and was full endless tips to improve both my husband and my sking in the time we were in Zermatt. Adam innately understands the sking terrain, ever changing conditions on the mountain and what best suited our sking level as our time with him progressed.
