The Dude — Restaurant in Zermatt

When we visited the restaurant, a Guggenmusic rehearsal was taking place, which was extremely loud. We then asked if we could order our food to take away, which the waitress kindly confirmed and took our order. Shortly afterwards, the music stopped and the waitress assured us that the band would not be playing again that evening. She offered us the chance to eat in the restaurant instead, which we accepted.

Unfortunately, the band started playing the extremely loud music again a few minutes after we were served. There was no apology for the misinformation and we were still asked for a tip when we paid. We were not asked how we would like the burgers. They were simply cooked well-done. We paid CHF 117 for four burgers, but were unable to enjoy the evening due to the noise. So unfortunately I cannot recommend...

We - a bunch of uni friends - have been coming to Zermatt for a couple of years and we are very happy to have discovered the Dude. The Dude in Zermatt nails it with delicious burgers, a wide beer selection, and live sports on a big screen. Friendly service seals the deal for a great night out with friends. It's the go-to spot for tasty food, drinks, and fun with the mates.

It is for certain that we will come here...

Really big bar in Zermatt, close to the station, but a bit off the beaten track. Great if you want a comfortable seat, sport on TV and a burger menu. It's inside the Alpen resort also, so you don't need to worry about getting home if you've booked there, they've a side door to the hotel. Infact, you could watch sport, drink beer, eat food and then go to the hot tub without leaving...
