Visited this place on our travels to Zermatt. I would suggest all travellers to find better place rather just choosing this one as it’s closer to train station. We were lazy to find a better place so sharing our experience. The worst experience starts with the person who took the order and she was completely not interested to help. We wanted to do some changes to the toppings and she was completely not helpful. Finally we were able to place order, when the order arrived the pizza base was not normal / crispy nor it was tasty, never seen a soggy pizza like this before, it’s expensive so you expect at least good quality but unfortunately it was by far lowest quality.
When asked I gave the feedback after the dinner was done, the person who asked seems to be doing a formality to ask feedback, when I gave my honest feedback he said you should have told it’s soggy when the order arrived, my only response was didn’t you check while serving as it was clear that it was not good and not presentable. Also please note they don’t care on any feedback. If you try to order a pizza and if you are 2 sharing the same pizza they will charge you sharing cost of 6 CHF and charge more on toppings even if you replace the toppings. My experience was the worst and next day I saw some great restaurants around so please walk around rather being lazy like us. Overall Zermatt has been a fantastic experience in exception to this restaurant. Sharing my honest feedback as food can be expensive here so better to read reviews and spend money wisely. Hope this...
Read moreDuring my Switzerland trip this restaurant has given by far the best service.
The server was very accommodating, empathetic, and polite. Throughout the dining experience, I cannot help but feel the goodwill and positive culture of a well run restaurant to do right by the customer.
There was no drink menu provided, but, the server opted to be very flexible and provide any drink within their ability to make which was very welcomed. I got a mockito that was gently sweet, strong flavour of lime-mint, and very refreshing.
The carrot soup was an excellent starter with fresh aromatic taste with just the right amount texture to make it neither too watery nor thick. Perfect for vegans, dairy-free or those seeking a lighter dish to make the stomach comfortable.
Pasta was also well received, I ordered the raw sausage though, I think next time I will try the seafood pasta. Portions are quite filling.
Last but not least, I HIGHLY recommend the espresso, I love strong and rich flavour and their drinks really deliver.
I will most definitely come back if in the area and recommend for all travellers passing...
Read moreWhile we did not have food in the restaurant, we were trying to get a table on a busy night without reservation (by the fault of ours) we were told at our hotel that we should try our luck as the receptionist just called earlier and there was no place for a larger group, but we were only 2. Unfortunately, there was no place for us, but when I inquired if we could sit at the bar, I was told that there was no service at the bar. All that time, there was a person eating pizza at the bar. When I pointed it out I was told “Yes, but that’s the owner’s son!” as if it explained everything. I found it a bit embarrassing as I had to explain to my 8 year old kid, why some people are treated differently to others. It’s a bit like having rooms at the hotel, but not allowing guests to stay there, because they are occupied by owners children. Granted the owners can do whatever they want with their business, however, I find that quite odd in 21st century. 1 star for attitude. I’d say don’t bother, there are plenty of nice...
