It was a very pleasant experience. We were a large group (almost 30 people), but they were very well organised and ready for us. We even had the opportunity to check in earlier, which we were super grateful for. 🙌🏼 Some people from our group had evening flights and they were super accommodating in storing their bags.
After 2 evenings I needed to extend my stay, which was so easy to do.
The rooms were neat, with various seating arrangements (depending on the size of your room), and even some plastic chairs to use on the outside veranda - although it doesn't necessarily offer a great view.
The cleaning of the suits is also a treat!
The bathrooms are a bit old-fashioned, equipped with only a bathtub - there is a sprayer head, but it's not possible to keep the water contained in the bathtub if you try to take a shower (and as Westerns we don't tend to use a bathroom as a wet room) 🤭🤭 But everything was very neat, they provide more than enough towels.
Just something to be aware of (but I think it works like this in many places in Thailand), when you pay for your accommodation with a debit card (instead of with cash), they add an extra 3% fee.

Read moreThe hotel is set back from the main road and only a short walk to the beach. I was one of three guests due to the situation.||My Superior double room was a good size. Aged hotel but feels solid as is what I think was the original furniture. Wardrobe with hanging and storage space with drawers. Quiet aircon, adequate lighting and TV with international channels. The bed had clean linens with a typical firm mattress.||The bathroom was the downside. You have to step up and over to stand in the bathtub to use a hand held shower rose. Might not be practical for those not so agile. The soap/shampoo was not easily accessible. Also, each time I set my preferred water temperature after about 5 minutes the water inexplicably became very hot. Spooky. If they removed the bath tubs and replaced with recessed showers they would be far more user friendly.||With only 3 guests, breakfast was limited to eggs and/or bacon, small hotdogs, toast, jams, coffee, juice and 2 fruits which was enough for me. There was a restaurant just down the road where I had dinner each night after watching the sunset at the beach.||Overall I had a comfortable stay except for...
Read moreHey everyone! If you want to stay in Kata Beach in Phuket then Kata Palace Phuket hotel is a great choice for you. It is just in the middle of the main road with all amenities under your noze, very close to the beach, may be 2 min max, no need to climb a steep road after a hot day on the beach. Management is impeccable! Beds fantastic, bed linen and towels are fresh and new every day. Hotel is very quite despite its central location due to the fact that it is a bit pushed away from the road and is surrounded by an outstanding seafood restaurant on the one side and a popular tailor's shop on the other. When you go there please say hello to Nilesh, the hotel manager, a great Indian guy, who doesn't need to be explained or reminded twice when you need anything. I was truly touched by kind, attentive, and I would even say, family atmosphere in...
