Kata Poolside Resort — Hotel in Karon

I had an amazing stay at Kata Poolside Resort! The location is perfect—just a short walk to Kata Beach, shops, and restaurants, yet still tucked away enough to feel peaceful and relaxing. The pool is a highlight: clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by plenty of loungers, making it the perfect spot to unwind.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and kept spotless throughout my stay. I especially appreciated the balcony and the overall cozy atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of. Their hospitality truly made me feel welcome.

The on-site restaurant served delicious food at reasonable prices, and it was so convenient to have the option of dining right at the resort. Between the great service, comfortable rooms, and unbeatable location, Kata Poolside Resort exceeded my expectations.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our tour. The hotel is dated, with fairly large rooms. There is no elevator so be prepared to walk up the stairs or ramp if you are on the 2nd or 3rd floor. The room was comfortable enough and had everything one needs including a small refrigerator, but it's dated and worn looking. It's less than a 5 minute walk to the beach, and has every type of restaurant or street food within easy walking distance. It's a good location to be accessible to 7-11 stores and markets for shopping. We found the included breakfast to be basic but plentiful enough so you won't leave hungry. The restaurant prices are some of the highest around so look around at dinner time. The front desk staff and housekeeping staff were lovely and friendly always offering suggestions. Very happy we chose this hotel. Love the style, from the entrance to the pool and the rooms. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. |Rooms cleaned well daily.|We sometimes had the pool to ourselves especially first thing in the morning.|Reception very helpful on the few occasions we needed something.|Our room wasn’t ready as we arrived early but there is a shower room where we could sort ourselves out after the long journey.|Some of the other customers were not very friendly but that didn’t spoil our time.|We would stay again if we go back to Kata.|We had a pool view room which was a lovely size and better than the side rooms.||Go left at the main road and there is a fabulous food market, the best pad Thai we had.
