Came here for dinner today, and I’d describe my dining experience as “delicious,” “delightful,” and very “enjoyable.”
The reason I chose this restaurant was because of a recommendation from an Indian gentleman who has been living in Bangkok for quite a while. I was really excited to give it a try.
Today, I wanted to sample a variety of dishes. Therefore, my girlfriend and I opted for the non-vegetarian course. This set includes four types of dishes: appetizers, grilled meat, a main course, and desserts, along with a mocktail and chai.
Throughout the meal, I got to try many interesting dishes. The appetizer was both tasty and unique. The grilled dish, which included a mix of prawn, chicken, and lamb chops, was delicious and flavorful. Personally, I loved the lamb chops the most—they were tender and perfectly seasoned. Moving on to the main course, I particularly enjoyed the Palak Paneer and a dark orange soup (I don’t know its name, but it was amazing!). I also loved the Garlic Naan—it’s the best I’ve ever had. The Prawn Biryani was fluffy and mildly seasoned, making it perfect for anyone trying Indian food for the first time. Finally, the dessert was fancy and distinctive, thanks to its interesting combination of chocolate, vanilla ice cream, and alcohol.
The mocktail was also very refreshing. I loved the sparkling water and lemonade combination—it was the perfect drink to enjoy before the main courses. The chai was smooth and mild, ideal for someone who prefers a gentler masala flavor.
Another highlight of this restaurant is the high quality of service. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Not only did they assist when asked, but they also approached us proactively if they thought we needed help. I was particularly impressed that staff at all levels, including the restaurant manager and chef, asked for feedback about our dining experience. This extra effort made the experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, it was a unique and memorable dining experience. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional, and the staff were professional and service-minded. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique dining experience. For me, I’ll definitely be coming back soon to try more dishes.

Read moreAfter having been wowed by the fabulous Charcoal Grill I had high hopes for the Punjab Grill too. Unfortunately I left with decidedly mixed feelings.
Firstly, the good. The restaurant is spacious, comfortable and had nice decor. When my server brought me my menu I’m not sure why I had to specifically ask to see the tasting menu. If I hadn’t read about it on the website I wouldn’t have known it existed. Hopefully it was just an oversight. I had the avocado beal for starter. It was delicious and quite innovative compared to typical Indian fare. I really enjoyed the crunchy texture and subtle combination of flavours. The presentation was nice too.
The main courses were a bit of a let down though. It’s not that they were bad. Overall I enjoyed them. For the price (compared to other Indian restaurants in the area) they were just not exceptional though. One dish—a chicken curry in a creamy tomato sauce—was a particular disappointment. I had to send it back to the kitchen because it was swimming in oil. To be fair, the manager was very gracious and did apologize but said that the ghee (which made the dish excessively oily) was meant to add to the flavour. I disagree. In my opinion it’s a rather lazy justification. The wonderful flavour of Indian cuisine is diminished by being excessively oily. What really takes Indian food to another level is the clever and often subtle combination of all the wonderful spices.
In conclusion although I enjoyed the restaurant I had expected...
