I recently stayed at lyf Sukhumvit 8 Bangkok, and it was an amazing experience! The hotel is conveniently located near Nana Station — just take Exit 4, and you’ll find it right away. The location makes it incredibly easy to get around the city, whether you want to explore popular tourist spots or just wander around the neighborhood.

One of the best things about this hotel is its location. It’s surrounded by lots of bars, clubs, pubs, and massage shops, so there’s always something to do nearby. There’s also a 7-Eleven right across the street, which is super convenient if you need to grab a quick snack, drink, or any essentials. Additionally, there are plenty of small local restaurants nearby that serve delicious food at reasonable prices — I found the flavors to be very well-suited to my taste!

The hotel itself is modern, stylish, and very well-maintained. It feels fresh and clean as soon as you step inside. The overall atmosphere is cool and inviting, and there’s a pleasant fragrance throughout the building. The staff were one of the highlights of my stay — they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their attention to detail and willingness to help made my stay much more enjoyable.

The facilities were well thought out. Each floor has a hot and cold water dispenser, which is very convenient for staying hydrated without having to buy bottled water. Housekeeping is done every two days, which keeps the room clean and tidy. If you need extra cleaning, you can request it for a small additional fee. The Wi-Fi was excellent — strong and fast both in the lobby and in the room, which made it easy to stay connected and stream content without any issues.

The room size was perfect for one or two people — not too big, but definitely not cramped. The space was clean, bright, and comfortable, with a minimalist but cozy design. However, the room didn’t have a fridge or a TV, which might be a downside for some, but it wasn’t a big deal for me since I spent most of my time exploring the city. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made it easy to relax after a long day of sightseeing.

Security at the hotel is very impressive. The elevator requires a room key card to operate, which ensures that only guests can access the rooms. Additionally, after 10:00 PM, the main entrance to the hotel is locked, and you’ll need a room key card to enter — this made me feel very safe and secure throughout my stay.

Because it’s close to several bars and nightlife spots, it can get a little noisy at night. However, the noise level wasn’t too disruptive for me, and I was still able to sleep comfortably. If you’re a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might help. Despite this minor issue, the convenience of the location and the quality of the hotel easily make up for it.

Overall, lyf Sukhumvit 8 Bangkok is a fantastic option for solo travelers and couples looking for a stylish and well-located place to stay in Bangkok. The combination of modern design, friendly staff, strong security, and excellent location makes it a great value for the price. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Bangkok and would highly recommend it to anyone...

Great location, I would say about a 2 min walk to the BTS skytrain / Nana station. Also lots of delicious street food vendors close by.

The amenities and communal kitchen were sufficient for us. We did use the laundry facilities which was quite convenient.

The room is small though; it reminds me of a Japanese business hotel. If you have mobility issues, it may be difficult for you because this bed is on a platform and to get to the bed, you must climb up the platform; it isn't easy especially because there are no railings to grab onto and both the floor and the platform is a smooth slippery surface. It is about a 1 ft drop so you could easily lose your footing, especially at night.

There was a master switch that turned off all the electricity in the room; there were no notes to explain this and one night my husband turned the switch off by accident while going to the washroom and we ended up turning off the AC which was miserable :/ But user error though. Wish they would have made a note or something about it.

Two things I have to complain about is that 1) there was a "pocket door" that had lead to the outside to the air conditioning units outside that kept opening (this was next to the window). There was something wrong with the locking mechanism and it wasn't locked. I had to use my travel bag to keep it closed by always having it lean on it. Regardless, every time we went out and had come back, the door was always found open (because my bag would shift, or the housekeeper came in to fix the sheets and she moved my bag). It was kind of dangerous because technically I could have walked out there and fallen several storeys to the ground below. So it was a little inconvenient to always have to have something leaning on it. And 2) we had a lot of little bugs walking around on our floors. They were especially noticeable on the washroom floor (because it was a light coloured floor) but we also noticed it in the main area as well. Maybe this was because we had that pocket door that kept opening or they were coming out of the drain, I'm not sure. But we didn't have this problem in any other hotel. We just squished them as we saw them but it did make us feel uneasy as we would see at least 5 at a time. We didn't have food in the room to encourage them to come in.

Otherwise the staff were great and the facilities were nice. Regardless of these complaints, we still...

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. Booked via Agoda. The hotel is just opening again after Covid 19 (1st September). The hotel is newly built. Room is good, design is uniques. Room The room is not that big but enough for short time staying. No TV no bulky storage. AC is working well. The mirror has LED lamp. The toilet and shower use sliding door that can be used simultaneously. Amenities Towels are clean. Shower, shampoo, and conditioner are good. There are 2 glasses for brushing teeth. Hand soap os provided. No watter bottle provided because the hotel is supporting the reuseble trend. They provide the water refill. Facilities On the first floor, there are so many chill place, for working, or just relaxing. There is shared kitching with 2 big fridges. They also have chilling area on the rooftop. Access via stairs on the 8th floor. Location 4 mins from BTS nana. Walk a bit more, you will reach Terminal 21. Also you can walk to MRT station. Bus station is just near nana BTS. Many bars and Restaurants nearby. Seven eleven just accross the street. Service Room gets cleaned everyday Towel gets changed everyday Receiptionists are very helpful and friendly. Minus Nana area could be really noisy with girls screaming every midnight.... And yes you can hear the girls screaminh sometimes until 2 am. There is weird door near windows that is not sealed properly. Maybe failure of design or I dont know. It is leading to the water tank and sometimes the birds are hanging there and make some noisy noise. Conclusion This is a hidden gem in Bangkok, reviews are less because there are newly open! Stay here as long as the price is still cheap. More worth than staying on the big hotel but old... The design of the hotel is very instagrable. I will definitely come back again! Plus, thank you for the welcoming gift. It was so thoughtful 🥰

The hotel is very close to Nana Station, and overall, it was a nice experience with some small issues. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful from the start. I arrived early in the morning, and since my room wasn’t ready yet, they kindly stored my luggage so I could go explore the area. When I came back at night, they gave me my room. Unfortunately, I found out that the air conditioner wasn’t working. I called the front desk, and the staff immediately sent the maintenance team to check. After the team confirmed the air conditioner couldn’t be fixed, they quickly arranged another room for me on the same floor. I really appreciated how professional and efficient they were. The hotel itself is quite eco-friendly, which I liked. There’s no TV or refrigerator in the room, but there’s a large shared refrigerator on the ground floor where you can store your items. You just need to write your room number and check-out date on them. It’s a bit inconvenient to go downstairs every time you need something, but it’s manageable. On the bright side, every floor has two water dispensers with hot and cold water, which is convenient. The room was small but had everything I needed. It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The soundproofing was okay, but I could still hear doors opening and closing in the hallway, which was a bit distracting. Be conscious on using hot water, especially when you are the second one, because water turns cold. Other than that, it was a cozy and simple space. The location is excellent! It’s close to shopping areas and has many local food stalls nearby, which made exploring and eating very easy. I would still recommend this hotel if you’re looking for an affordable and eco-friendly place near Nana Station.
