I have to rate 0 star (or lower, if possible) for the Korean rooftop bar, namely ANJU. I am a fan of Korean culture, and I appreciate such concoction of Thai and K-pop experiences; however, this visit had almost overturned our appreciations for the hotel and my perception of great hospitality of Thai people.

I admitted that we arrived at the bar late around 1:27 midnight, where a waitress came and told us that the last order was ending in 3min.

The first breach of commitment was that the bartender was gone before last order, and so we were asked to choose among soft drinks and wine.

Then, when we chose our wine, the limitation suddenly became “red wine only”; to speed up the process, we ordered two glasses of red wine without demanding on choosing or even seeing the menu.

There they poured two glasses of refrigerated Merlot, pale and dull; and NO tasting were not ever attempted or offered.

We were told and reconfirmed that the bar would close at 2:00am (from the front desk, from what we read on the TV promo in our room, and from the impatient staffs at ANJU), but during our 30min sojourn, the staff were busy and nosy with floor mopping, chairing stacking and table wiping… and they even tuned down the music. (I remembered it was playing “Venus” by my favourite and the legendary Shinhwa 😡)

That place was worse than a closing college cafeteria, as the bar charged us 459 baht, equivalent to USD 13.8 for each of these dull and unlabelled house red wine.

In my opinion, the bar was committed and supposed to close at 2:00am, and it meant to render its services and maintain its basic ambiance till that moment; but what we saw was a bunch of impatient staffs huddling on a guest table gossiping with the language we did not know while staring...

Perched high above Bangkok, ANJU sits on top of Sindhorn Midtown Hotel and gives perfect city views with authentic Seoul vibes, neon lights, K-pop beats, and wide variety of food and drink options.

On the food front, ANJU delivers a modern Korean menu with flair. While it came out fairly quickly, the food was good but not exceptional, I found some of the dishes lacking flavour not quite value for the price we paid. Drinks wise, the Kimchi mocktail with kimchi brine had an interesting flavour and the Hallabong cocktail was well balanced, both were presented beautifully.

Staff were super friendly and attentive, and sunset is hands-down the best time to go, there is also a variety of undercover and balcony seating options. The bars website has an interactive food and drink menu, as well as very simple booking system.

We were staying at the hotel, and were informed of rotating DJs and live music from around 6 pm into the night during the week. The space is lively, so if you prefer a quiet, intimate evening you may want a weekday or earlier time. The DJ we had for the evening played a nice mix of chilled, K-Pop classics and trendy R&B beats.

Overall, a fun, stylish rooftop bar I would recommend to come and enjoy a drink and some small sharing dishes. Prices are on the higher side, but you’re paying for the vibe and the view which is...

Visited ANJU on a Thursday evening, with about a third of the places occupied. The reason was the birthday of a K-Pop fan among the group, so we wanted to do something special for them.

The online reservation process worked smoothly, and the service provided by the staff on site was excellent. The food was delicious and served very quickly, and we also found the prices to be absolutely fair. We particularly enjoyed the great atmosphere, the beautiful decoration, and of course, the stunning view over the city.

However, one aspect of our visit left us disappointed: the music selection in the evening. Given that this is a Korean rooftop bar, we had expected a significant portion of the playlist, perhaps a quarter, a third, or even half, to consist of Korean music or K-pop. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and the lack of Korean music was especially disappointing for the K-pop fan among us.

We've sent this review to the location before posting it online. Got a AI-generated answer back, that just summed up our...

ANJU Korean Rooftop Bar is a fantastic spot with a great vibe and stunning atmosphere, perfect for a casual evening out. The food here is definitely a highlight! The fried chicken is amazing—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. It’s easily one of the best dishes on the menu and worth coming back for. The bibimbap is another standout—it’s huge, loaded with toppings, and incredibly satisfying. If you’re hungry, this will absolutely hit the spot. The soup was also really good, with a comforting, rich flavor that adds a nice balance to the meal. However, I wouldn’t recommend the egg dish. It didn’t quite live up to the rest of the menu and felt a bit underwhelming compared to the other items. Service was good but could use a little improvement to match the level of the food and ambiance. Overall, this rooftop bar is a great place to hang out with friends, enjoy delicious dishes, and take in the atmosphere. Just skip the egg dish and focus on the fried chicken and bibimbap—you won’t regret it!
