As a lover of literature, We spent 5 glorious nights! We had the Hemingway room, which was the private penthouse. Room was quaint and comfortable. What a view of the bay and was absolutely perfect. The hotel is charming; historical; warm; literary bon mots for sure. It is on a quiet street one block AWAY from hustle and bustle restaurants, but still quiet. Cats and kittens abound everywhere. Literally, 5 minute walk to the Hagia Sophia and all the Sultanahmet attractions and interest. Yes, the airport transfers were easy and highly recommend. || Eren, our host and greeter, couldn't have been more welcoming, charming and an absolute hoot of energy and information. We became friends instantly. The breakfast was exquisite, with Arif our waiter, just an absolute gentlemen with great conversation, jokes and kindness. The food was spectacular, and rest of staff were friendly, helpful (they always got me a cappuccino before they opened). My wife found the laundromat across the street and had our clothes done in a few hours. ||The only drawback, and this is just part of staying in the neighborhood, are the seagulls. They fly and squak and crow on the rooftops, but honestly. you get use to it and it didn't prevent any sleep. ||The Hotel and staff deserve the Pulitzer Prize for...

I have never written a review before, but after staying at Hotel Poem for 8 days with my wife, I felt it would be unfair not to express my gratitude. This was truly one of the best experiences of my life.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism. The service was nothing short of exceptional—every staff member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The breakfast was delicious, diverse, and impeccably clean. Every morning felt like a luxury experience with fresh and high-quality ingredients.
The attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel, from cleanliness to comfort, was outstanding. I tried to find a single flaw, but there was absolutely nothing to criticize. The hospitality at Hotel Poem made our trip to Istanbul even more special.
To the incredible team at Hotel Poem—thank you for making us feel at home. Your dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed. This review is my small way of showing appreciation for your perfect service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a flawless stay...
Read moreI stayed at Hotel Poem on a one day layover in Istanbul and it was the best choice! From the moment I entered, the reception staff were so pleasant, welcoming and kind. Within 5 minutes, I was given the most charming room! The staff were very helpful in giving directions to the nearby tourist sites. I was pleased that throughout my stay, they did not try to upsell any add on services.
The washroom had the rainfall shower which was so refreshing! I got ready to go to Sultanahment Mosque and the Aya Sophia. These two historic sites were a short 7 to 8 minute walk away from Hotel Poem. The area around the hotel is filled with restaurants, hotels, and a mini bazaar. As a solo traveller, I felt safe and had no trouble navigating as almost everyone spoke English.
The hotel at night was very peaceful and quiet. Great to get a good night's sleep. In the morning, the most pleasant surprise was the complimentary breakfast, which was a feast! The cafeteria staff were all very kind and attentive.
I would highly recommend you to choose Hotel Poem for your next stay in Istanbul's...
