Review: pocket tea for 150 liras and poor service.
I came here because it was one of the closest restaurants to my hotel with high rating on Google Maps. So I made the order, including seafood salad, chicken quesadilla, herbal tea and local turkish desert. 2 dishes were delivered in time. Portions were big and enough to feed up. The taste of quesadilla was below average. The seafood was kinda ok, but the fact that seafood itself was almost frozen is weird. But this is not the problem. For a whole hour, I was waiting for my desert, which was never made. For that, I did not get nor explanation, nor excuse.
Also, the herbal tea I ordered was nothing else than little cup of a simple pocket tea that you can buy in the supermarket nearby. 150 liras for a pocket tea that had no flavor and disgusting taste!!! 1st time during my travellings I see this. When I complained, they deducted half of that price from my bill, but I tend to think that such quality is inappropriate for any respectful restaurant.
Two guys who were helping in the beginning were good and acting professionally. But later they disappeared and there was a young boy who had no manners, no idea how to do his job obviously. I do not know if he forgot my order or something. I was sitting right in the middle, hard not to notice, but was completely ignored. I am very disappointed by my experience in this place. I lost whole hour for nothing and my evening was screwed.
It is the 1st time when I write negative review here. So, a warning: do not make my mistake, do not come here, there are plenty of good...
Read moreWe visited Zerzevan during the off season, we were told by our hotel how the entire street is very touristy so prices will be high. We looked at google reviews and this restaurant had a high rating and the menu price shown on google reviews (1 year old) seemed reasonable.
Having eaten there i now do not trust these google reviews for the following reasons.
A reviewer dined same time as us posted a great atmosphere, the entire street is dead with hardly any customers due to low season, all restaurants are empty with zero atmosphere.
The menu shown a year ago is half the price of what you actually pay, so take note of this, this place is extremely expensive for a mediocre quality meal. -US$120 for 2 people no alcohol + hookah
The service was poor, lots of staff just hanging around as we were the only customers at one point, yet we had to keep asking multiple times for things we had ordered.
The food: We orsered 3 things - fish, octopus, veggies. The ocotpus is good but expensive, the rest was mediocre and not very tasty.
If you can i would venture out of this street as it really is a tourist trap so beware, and during low season they are more deaperate for your business so the level of hassle increases to get you to...
Read moreThis is the worst place to eat The entire street a tourist trap anyway but this place the food is horrible. I came with my husband and grandmother. We ordered pizza and two kebabs. We were offered free Teas and starter meze to trap us to coming inside to eat. Once we were seated the young guys were just running around playing. They served my grandmother who is wearing a hijab a bear and we had to tell them that it was not for her! We then asked ti be seated outside because the smell of smoke was alot inside. When we went outside the heaters were too hot and we had to return inside. The two tourists sitting next to us agreed that the heating was really strong and they had ti move as well. They youngsters took so long to serve the food and when the served the food it was cold. The bread was cold. Then the pizza came for my grandma and it was not nice. The two kebabs were okay but nothing special and didn't taste fresh. The music was awful and nobody really paid attention. The atmosphere together with the tasteless cold food made it for a horrible dinner and evening for us. When I received the bill it was 51 euro for the 2 simple kebabs and the small vegetarian pizza. I say avoid this place...
