I am writing this long review to save others be misled like us to go there based on the comments. The atmosphere is at most good to sit and have a soft drink, and maybe to order a side dish with friends, nothing more (It's not a restaurant to be convinient for family dinning out.) We were moved with the artificial smile at the beginning like others, but it did not take long to realize it was ostentatious to hunt you in their mini bar. It would have been vanished afterwards and replaced with a unprofessional and irresponsive behaviour, even tends to be harsh and rude toward requests. The food is delicious (but I cannot highly recommend it with the current price since it is possible to find these sort of foods in Instanbul in much more reasonable price). The images in the menu is not in accordance with the foods in front of them, which can be really misleading...
I would like to add our own experience below: My familly and I went there for a dinner regarding the exisitng comments and rates of the page. But I would say the atmosphere was really vexing for us. After asking them fot a non-smoking area because of my-two-year kid, they got us to another table which was supposed to be a non-smoking. But once I warned them about the people smoking around us, nothing happened, instead they tried to convince us about the type of their restaurant. We decided to leave, but they denied to call our order off. Insane!!! My wife has ordered a sort of Kebab dish with a significant emphasis on the eggplant (since they could have not prepared her an eggplant Kebab due to the electricity issue), but I followed their recommendation to order since the entire local dishes were looked greek to me...They just put my wife's plate in front of me without any extra explanation, and I ate that delicious dish neglectfully. When my wife complained about her dish (which did not contain any eggplant taste as it was supposed to), they replied that your husband had already ate it with a real harsh manner (which might have been due to the language difficiencies)...IMAGINE! I was lucky that my wife does not hold the grudge for long time😅🤭 All in all, our night was really ruined in their mini bar though we went there with a good feeling and expectation based on...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at The Shadow Kitchen in Istanbul, and I have to say that it was an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top-notch. The owner, Enes, was very thoughtful and kind, making sure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. I was particularly impressed with his attention to detail and how he went out of his way to ensure that we had an amazing time.
The menu at The Shadow Kitchen was filled with a variety of delicious dishes that were all beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was flavorful and well-executed, and it was clear that the kitchen staff take great care in preparing each dish. The service was just as impressive as the food - the staff were attentive and friendly, and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
Overall, my dining experience at The Shadow Kitchen was truly exceptional. Enes and his team really went above and beyond to make sure that we had a wonderful time, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal and fantastic service...
Read moreConsidering all the restaurants along this street are cookie cutter versions of each other, maybe this level of food is standard. After browsing a few restaurants we decided on this one even though I was hesitant.
We ordered the most simple items to make sure what we ate was decent enough. Greek salad and deluxe pizza. Took about 40mins to arrive. Greek salad was alright but every component was cut so huge (tomato, feta, onions) it was just extremely average and not good. Left half of it.
The pizza was so bad we left most of it and only took it to go as to not be rude and fed it to some stray dogs nearby. It was soggy and the bottom undercooked cause it was overloaded with canned mushrooms, corn and meat. Was one of the worst pizzas I’ve had.
They gave us complimentary Turkish tea when we paid our bill that had so much sugar in it, it was essentially a liquid jolly rancher.
The complimentary bread and yoghurt dip they gave us before our meal was decent, so I’ll give them that. But the rest was the worst meal I’ve had in nearly two weeks in Turkey. Give this place...
