Me and my boyfriend stayed at Sundia for a well needed 14 night holiday.
We arrived early hours in the morning and we were greeted by a nice man on the front desk. We were seated and not long shown to our room. Bags were carried for us aswell.
In the room there is a piece of paper explaining restaurant times, pool times etc etc.
The room Itself was great. We was in the main building, and the balcony had a great view of the mountains and the paraglides every morning. We was right above the main restaurant, which was convenient. LOL.
Each morning we was greeted by our lovely Maid, Semra I believe who cleaned our room for us when we asked and when we wasn’t in. As expected. The room itself, if I was to be such a picky critic I could mention the peeling wallpaper or the very forceful bidet that was quite awkward. But the shower was great and spacious and the balcony and air con made up for the wallpaper, no biggie.
Such great entertainment nights at the hotel, something different each time, Latin dancing, body popping. So many dance groups! It was crazy seeing everyone getting thrown around!
Breakfast was amazing, each day! So many different eggs, sausages changed each day. New pastries each morning, croissants, simit. Lovely fruit, best to get to breakfast early to miss the rush. Cooks were friendly and smiling. Definitely try the orange juice! Amazing. A massive industrial toaster with 100 different breads! So many little bits and bobs to eat.
Dinner, oh my dinner. Each night we stayed for the 14 nights we ate at the hotel. We honestly didn’t feel the need to eat elsewhere. Obviously we did for lunch but nothing quite hits the spot like unlimited choice. We had nights like Chinese, traditional Turkish, Italian. Fish dishes changed each night, seafood. Always pasta. Veg. Salad is available at all meals! So much choice. The dinner was lovely! Food constantly being cooked infront of you!
Deserts, all I will say is the chocolate sauce! Oh and such a wide variety for everyone! Always fruit available !!
We even have a live singer a few times with our meal, which was lovely and a new experience for us. Honestly nothing to fault on the food!
Restaurant staff. SEDA. We love you, Mehmet , Meht and so many more that we didn’t catch their names. Seda, reserved our seats almost every night and morning, the lovely lady even decorated our table on multiple occasions with flower petals and decorative napkins. She is so lovely and helpful and made us feel so special each day!
Each restaurant staff was such a great help, and everyone made sure we were seen to and had a seat and checking on us for whatever we would need. The whole atmosphere is amazing! I miss it so much!
The location is amazing! 5 minute slow walk to the beach, 2 minute speed walk! Crazy! So many clothes stores, bag and shoe stores, tons of lovely restaurants and definitely a raving location if your looking to party. Always something going on at night in the restaurants, from drag queen night to magic mike.
The night can get a little noisy. Personally as someone who can fall asleep with the television on, I found it easy each night to sleep. This may not apply to everyone but it wasn’t as bad as I thought, considering the base of the music from the bars and restaurants.
Everyone at the hotel was very lovely, a few hiccups i had with room service. Lots of things lost in translation.
I recommend the adult pool, the man on the bar! Amazing! He was lovely. His drinks were stronger than anywhere else I’d been in the hotel and out, Jamaican sunrise! Lush drink!
Oh and the banana, chocolate and vanilla milkshakes I can vouch he makes the best in the hotel! Massive shout out to him!
Overall such a wonderful experience! We both enjoyed our first holiday abroad! And at Sundia and we honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else!
We will see you...
Read moreWe had a wonderful holiday here. The rooms are spotless and well maintained. The beds are really nice and comfy too. Housekeeping are very kind and considerate, and take a great deal of pride in their work. Goulşen looked after our room and we felt utterly spoilt by the care she took and her lovely warm greetings every day. She noticed my birthday card and made a beautiful pair of towel swans decorated with lovely flowers to welcome us back to the room. The food was good, on previous all inc. Hols I have wanted meals out in restaurants, but it hasn't been a priority because of the quality of food here this time. The table waiting and bar staff are mostly great, with exemplary hospitality service skills. Osman in particular took a special interest in making sure we were well taken care of. Goulşen, Osman, a porter who carried our things and greeted us everyday and others were all more than happy to help me try to pick up a few Turkish phrases and I really appreciated them all making the time. Despite the gardens having real fruit on the trees, the all inc. Drinks didn't include fresh juice in the cocktails and the coffee liqueur and rum were not to my taste, but they make a mean pina colada and the iced coffee is delicious too, so it wasn't the end of the world. The two pool areas meant we had a change of scene between social and more active space, and the calm relaxed adult pool area. Oludeniz can be very noisy and the hotel isn't far from the loud music bars, so maybe warn them if you prefer a room in a quieter area of the hotel. I think we were asked to attend reception at 9am and then lunchtime 2 or 3 days before an alternative room was found for us, which is the only reason they didn't get full marks from me. It also seemed to be suffering from poor drains in the streets, but its very localised. Tuesday is craft Market day, it's just a small run of stalls off the main street. People selling their own artwork, and I couldn't resist a couple of things to bring home. Lots of parasailers coming from the surrounding mountains down to the promenade which are thrilling to watch. The local bus service from the prom is really good and cheap, running past the Lycian Way trail entrance and Babadag cable cars into the main town of Oludeniz and on to Fethiye with its marina, Old Town area, cliff face temple ruins, markets and beach. Don't get in a taxi, golf buggy or bus to the blue lagoon if you're reasonably mobile as it's a flat and pleasant walk that isn't...

I booked the room months ago and immediately emailed asking for a quiet room away from the strip ideally a garden room.
Arrived at 3am to a room overlooking the restaurant and next to three aircon units. I complained in the morning and was told that there were no family rooms available but there would be the following day, I came back to reception as instructed and the same receptionist told me that she could only give me a similar room to what I'd already had, I pushed and eventually got the garden room, off the strip and with no Aircon units outside.. Shouldn't have to push, the room was there, why try and give me something I didn't want? My feeling is that this is a common issue and they just try and fob you off for a few days until a better room becomes available..
The food here is great, don't bother with the pool bar unless you like basic food, go to the main restaurant it's very good. Suleyman is a really good guy and will look after you.
Drinks are OK, cocktails can be hit and miss, the cocktail bar near reception is much better than the pool.
Pool and the entertainment round the pool could be better. Adult water polo and adult volleyball is great but what about the kids? The sports take over most of the pool so the kids have no choice but to watch for an hour? The kids make up 65% of people in the pool, cater more for them rather than middle aged men..
The music levels round the pool during the day is insane, same cover music on repeat but max volume? All day? I don't get the thinking behind it at all.
Entertainment in the evening is poorly run in my opinion, most of the time it started after 22:00 which is way too late for most kids.. One night bingo started at 22:00 and was dragged out for 45 minutes until the karaoke began.. Just too long and too late waiting around, I sense that the guy running the entertainment loves the sound of his own voice!
Location is OK if you are in a garden room.. You will hear the noise from the strip until 1am no matter where you are.
Spa is great, highly reccomend visiting this, the guy in there (can't remember his name) is great and cracked lots of bones during my Turkish bath and massage :)
Overall, considering the cost I felt a little dissapointed, hopefully the hotel will make some changes and...
