We booked a room in the City Season hotel a day before heading home, as the hotel is located close to the airport. The first room allocated to us was located right above a construction area, a room where they were doing some renovation. We requested for another room from the receptionist, which was so far the worse hotel room I have seen in Dubai as I come here since 2006. I have attached some pictures so you can see for yourself. Sleeping there, might cause serious problems for your health as it was extremely disgusting. After requesting to speak to the manager and complaining, we finally got another room which seemed have been renovated not long ago. Funny was the document, you have to sign at check in stating that if you get diagnosed with Covid, there is an additional charge of 500AED for disinfection. Also, the seals at the door claiming that the room has been cleaned and disinfected specially if you see the room which has been offered to us in the beginning, was a complete joke. There was no hygiene in the room. Accumulated dust on the lamps and every corner of the room and the wall was stained with fluids and mould. The lavatory sink was not cleaned as you can clearly see stains of toothpaste from the previous occupant and brown stained bath tub. The Staff at the reception was not very friendly and helpful. He appeared disturbed when we requested for another room, clearly the reason why he gave us the worst room ever. The hotel was not fully booked why we got a room next to the construction and when you complain they offer you one of the worse room in the whole hotel. Even the hotel manager didn't appear to know what is going on in the hotel. After showing him the room, he seemed suprised and shocked about the state of the room. That's why we cannot give more than 2 Stars and that's only because of the other room we got later. Never again, First and last time...
