My husband and I stayed in the King junior suite (room 1) for 5 days and had a great experience. The man at reception let us check in an hour and a half early and explained all of the hotel's eccentricities. We booked the suite because it is 378 square feet and we noticed how small the rooms were in the pictures. I feel like the reviewers complaining about the size of the rooms didn't bother doing research. Booking.com and other sites have more reviews and pictures than google. AC worked like a dream and as it was June we definitely needed it. The bathroom is very small but it was clean and nicely tilted. One review talked about no hot water which might have been user error as it took a minute to play with the knobs to work the shower. The water was always hot and had great pressure. Another complaint was about the entrance door. It requires you to push and hold the button while also opening the door. It took a few tries to get the hang of it but works great and made us feel safe. Another review complained about room service never happening but they are clear that you can request it at any time. We asked for extra pillows, toilet paper, and our trash to be emptied and they cleaned the entire room and gave us new towels. We asked about where to buy laundry soap and they said we could use theirs so we were able to do our laundry for free. The location was an absolute dream for easy access to the tube and coaches. Yes, you can hear the road noise and other rooms which is why we brought a sound machine to drown out the noise. No lift (elevator) so keep that in mind if you don't have rooms 1 and 2. We did notice a smell in the hallway the last two days but never smelled it in our room. Also, we booked the junior suite because it said it had a king size bed but it was a queen. Worked out fine for us but might want to fix it on some sites. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable, which was the only negative. Overall we would book the...

Good points: AC worked amazingly well, LOVED IT in the 30c London weather. It was generally clean, certainly above the standards of an average Travelodge for example. The bed also was comfortable for me, I had a wonderful sleep. Fairly quiet at night and whilst small, had everything I needed and didn’t feel cramped. Had laundry service and iron on first floor for guests to use. Also, fantastic value vs other hotels.
Bad points: It’s not perfect, the stairs kinda suck, it’s hot in the corridors, no staff are available at night, the shower was awkward to use and overall the room could benefit from a deep clean so not suitable for someone with cleaning OCD.
To note/areas for improvement: out of hours check in was a bit scary for me at 10:30pm, the code and message came through okay but once I had my card, I kept trying to use it to get in the building however it wasn’t working. Tried so many times then tried the doorbell and phone number, eventually figured out that you need to open the door within like 0.5 seconds of using your card. Literally as soon as you activate it unlike the usual couple of seconds most cars systems allow you.
Then to enter my room the keycard was awkward and would only work after moving it around for about 10 seconds. This issue remained but I always got in and was always out when the staff were working so didn’t get it seen to. No biggie but concerning the first night when I was checking in out of hours and couldn’t get in touch with anyone.
Overall, felt like I was staying with a family member who had given me keys to access their room to use whether I needed. It Isn’t perfect, could do with a deeper clean in places but you get a good sleep, it’s nice enough and is free (or in this case cheap) so you leave very thankful for having access to it. That epitomises my feelings towards this hotel. 7/10 overall, would recommend depending on what you’re...
Read moreUnfortunately I had a bad experience with this hotel. First- I could not access to the property & my room because of incorrect access code that they provided (emergency contact was a dead-end). Second- Due to this, I had to find an alternative accommodation 4am in the morning and pay out of my pocket! Third-I asked for a refund for my first night - Still chasing the refund after two weeks :( Hotel is not responding to Agoda and they are stalling! Fourth-Hotel room was average. No double-glazing, old-wooden window frames with plenty of gaps all the noise is in the room!
Would I recommend it,...
