The worst experience of my life. Our first night at the hotel was quite an eye opener not just the noise but other matters! We had to stay in the reception area until the hotel manager came in. We found cockroaches in our shower room, the night manager offered us another room, above the room we just vacated, we declined the offer. Whilst we were sitting in reception, we noticed two women (who came in off the street) using the toilet often and chatting with the night manager. Incidently, on one of their visits to the hotel, one of them went upstairs with a man. The reception toilet was used by the same woman when she came back down about half an hour later. We had no choice but to use the toilet a good while after, this is when we found a plastic wrapper in the sink. We informed the night manager, when she next came in, he told her to get out, it was obvious, going by her expression, it was for our benefit. The hotel obviously allows non paying guests of all varieties! The cleaner quickly cleaned this up before the manager came in. When speaking with the manager in the morning, the cockroach part was quickly dismissed, even though photographic proof was provided. The CCTV can prove the rest, he seemed to take heed of his other non paying guests!! Please beware! The one star is so I can alert people. If cockroaches and people can come in off the street without any health and safety measures in place for the hotel guests, then do you really want to stay here. I feel I need to end this with something positive. Ideal location when in another hotel in this area. London is also a...
Read moreWhat should you expect from a Hotel which is pretty central of a big city and has a âaffordableâ price per night? What should you expect from a Hotel which has 3 âď¸âď¸âď¸?
At least it should be clean and comfortable...!!!
Letâs start with the good things there are not really allot..
ââThe location is pretty close to two underground stations (Paddington & Lancaster Gate) which those you can get to most of the popular locations of London without transfer lines. Close to the Hotel are a lot of Pubs, CafĂŠs and Restaurants which is good if you want to go for a evening beer or two
Thatâs really it with the pluses..
â rooms are really small (ok it is a city hotel, but then they should Show that on their Pics!)
â Rooms are very loud.. well sleep and privacy? No way... you can hear everything which is going on out side your room, either it is outside your window or your room door..
â The room is superficial clean yes, BUT if you have a little deeper look.. 𤎠the carpet has way past his best times, the walls have holes and cracks everywhere, the doors are falling apart on the bottom... also the window looks like you need gloves to open it.. AND!!! We had everyday about ten small bugs in the room!!!
â The breakfast was included in our package but was not really worth.. (better go outside and safe the few bucks on the hotel price)
â The WiFi is just bad.. sometimes it works but 90% of the time you canât even open google..
Overall, I know that it will not be a Kempinski and had no high expectations but this Hotel fell through completely.. sorry but I really can NOT...
Read moreLocation was convenient and this was definitely one of the cheapest places we could find to stay near Central London. We arrived well before check-in and were able to leave our bags at the hotel until check-in time. The staff were pleasant.
The lobby had an off-putting vibe - there was a security guard guarding the bathrooms and it looked like there was an office space created in the main area. Our room, which was like a suite or apartment, did not have air conditioning or fans. It looked like it was being maintained by a DIYer - the floors were in rough shape and there was some sort of exposed electric panel. The wifi was nearly unusable as the signal was so weak and intermittent. When we arrived no one told us we would need to flip a switch to turn on the refrigerator so we had to throw out some food we put in there. A week before our stay they let us know they would not be offering breakfast service but would instead offer grab-and-go breakfast bags. This was fine except that after the first day they ran out of juice and gave my children coffee drinks. For most of the night we could hear folks from the neighborhood hanging out in the parking lots. It was loud - there were kids crying and at one point we heard a man get attacked by a dog.
I guess we got what we paid for - it was still expensive by my standards but not by London standards. I don't think I would stay there again, but it didn't spoil our...
