Club Wyndham Anaheim — Hotel in Anaheim

This place is the literal definition of sales pressure. We completed a tour with TJ and it was great. He was very kind. Then he brought in the hard sales pressure very tall woman who’s title was real estate agent allegedly, I don’t remember her name but I will never forget what a bully she tried to be basically guilting us into becoming members. I stated multiple times we could not afford what she was presenting and she would make egregious claims such as “I’m looking out for you” then present us with a SIXTEEN percent interest rate and when we pointed out the interest rate for this “deal” she glossed over it and quickly changed the subject. When I said I needed at least 24 hours to think about such a large purchase she told me since I had done a tour previously I had already had that time and needed to buy in to become a member, I continued to say no, she continued to push. I don’t typically raise my voice at complete strangers but she brought that out of me, I am humiliated that I had to basically yell at her in a room full of strangers to finally accept we did not want to buy in to this! For people that can afford it maybe it’s great but as I explained our financial situation multiple times we do not have the additional $300+ a month to buy in. Then in true scam artist fashion she suggested opening a credit card to pay. I explained my career requires me to not have a lot of debt and she STILL did not care and continued to push! Told us we would never be given a deal through the company because we’ve declined twice regardless if our financial situation changes in the future. Absolutely disgusting sales pressure.. Please train your staff the way I’m teaching my two year old son that NO is a complete sentence. Based on HER interaction with me alone I will be screaming from the rooftops to never get involved with your time share scam because she made it clear you only care about the sale and ripping off people through SALES PRESSURE! Oh and what a shock at the end they brought In Joe for an exit survey and he magically had a cheaper option we considered but still said no and he then presented 2 more cheaper options!! Again, a scam....

As Club Wyndham Access VIP Owners we were unpleasantly surprised by the check in fees of $362.88 on our 7 night point redemption stay. They claimed it was a county occupancy tax that includes Timeshare stays, also asked if we received the pre notification, of course we did not. It is the same concierge trap that starts giving you the routine compliments & "gifts" without first asking if you would be interested. We did go to a 1 hour meeting for some Wyndham Rewards Points & Cash to help pay the extra Parking Fees. It is a very nice property location within the Anaheim Resort area. Walkable to Disney, less than 1 mile each way. Great views of park closing fireworks from the 14th floor roof. My advice is contact in advance to ensure your check in goes per your request with no surprises.

The salesman told us as VIP owners we also have access to Shell Vacation Club properties, which was surprising news. We replied that we haven't seen them on the CWA reservations website. We were skeptical and researched this statement. Shell Vacation Club owners were bought by Wyndham in 2013. SVC owners were offered the ability to reserve Club Wyndham properties using SVC points but this arrangement was NOT reciprocal for Club Wyndham owners, which is totally UNFAIR because they use up our reservations and we get nothing in return. Wyndham Destinations should be sued for giving away our property without consent of CWO Owners. What is our Homeowners association...

Our stay at Wyndham Anaheim was a total scam. We were promised a “free” 2-night, 3-day stay at a sister location, but they intentionally left out the fact that this came with yet another mandatory 2 hour sales presentation. We made it clear we wouldn’t attend unless we were guaranteed what was originally promised—and that’s when things got worse.

Natalie, the marketing manager, got angry and unprofessional when we questioned the terms. She yelled at my husband simply because we refused to sit through another high-pressure pitch without clear confirmation of the offer. Totally unacceptable behavior from someone in her position.

I strongly suggest not staying at this hotel or any of their connected hotels

This wasn’t a vacation—it was a bait-and-switch scheme wrapped in rudeness and pressure. Stay far away from this place unless you enjoy being lied to and...
