I do not enjoy leaving bad reviews. This is from a special event, not regular service. Attended an Italian food and wine pairing event. The sommelier and the chef did not coordinate; in the sommeliers own words, he went for a progression of wines rather than to match the food pairing. To one pairing, he said “I just tried it and I think it’s okay.” If someone gets to such a position as sommelier, I sincerely hope they aim for better than “okay” for a special event. I get it, everybody has an off night. Everybody makes a mistake. The cascading oops here make it clear they aren’t ready to host events like this. This place is full of great ideas but execution was sloppy at best. Of the six courses, two that were supposed to be warm were either cold (a pumpkin risotto; pictured) or room temperature (a perfectly al dente raviolio but the lukewarm filling and sauce were disappointing). The late salad course was described with an exciting technique of tomato caviar; our salads were among the last to be served and had zero tomato of any sort on them. To their credit, they fixed that when we complained, but at the price, that’s not something a customer should have to point out to you. I understand getting all of the food warm to serve for a large event is challenging; this is a problem that should have been figured out before service. Similarly, we were told to reuse forks across courses rather than have clean tools provided - does the site not have enough to properly run the event? The tiramisu was exceptional, and compliments to the chef on the incredible execution. I wish I got a picture. Staff were friendly and the venue - a demonstration kitchen - was really cool. If only it had been used for any part of the event. Finally, those with nut allergies should look elsewhere. We were assured that there were no tree nuts on the menu, only to be served an almond cracker as part of the dessert. It’s a good thing we read the menu.

The breakfast buffet at Reverence, located in the Atlanta Epicurean Hotel, is a delightful culinary experience that truly lives up to its name. From the moment you step into the sleek and inviting dining area, you're greeted with an array of beautifully presented dishes that cater to every palate. The buffet offers a thoughtful selection of fresh, seasonal fruits, including vibrant berries and perfectly ripe melons. For those who enjoy a hearty start to their day, the hot food station features classic breakfast staples like crispy bacon, flavorful chicken sausage, and creamy grits. The made-to-order egg station is a standout, allowing guests to customize their omelets with a variety of fresh ingredients. What sets this buffet apart is its attention to detail. The pastries are freshly baked, with options like buttery croissants and indulgent chocolate treats. The granola parfaits, served in charming jars, add a touch of elegance to the spread. And for those with a sweet tooth, the inclusion of homemade cakes and cookies for breakfast is a delightful surprise. The ambiance is equally impressive, with a bright and modern setting that complements the high-quality food. The staff are attentive and friendly, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and well taken care of. Overall, the breakfast buffet at Reverence is a must-try for anyone staying at the Epicurean Hotel or visiting Atlanta. It's a perfect blend of flavor, variety, and sophistication that leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommended!

I do not recommend this place. I will not go there again. Definitely not a place for a date or special occasion. I went there to try it with a friend. There was only one bartender/waitress. We were told that we can sit at the bar and if we sit outside or on the couch, we need to carry our own drinks there! We sat on the couch, and there were no nepkins or anything. The service was super slow. When we went for a second drink, it took her about 16 miutes to do it. Drinks are expensive and not worth the service. The ambiance is nice but not worth how they treat customers. I suspect that folks who visit Google next door stay at this hotel and end up eating here. As a result, maybe they don't care about the community in the area. In either case, this place (certainly their staff and management) does not belong to this area (Midtown) and should leave! After reading this review, if they reply by asking, please tell us what happened, that means this management is playing it dumb! I am a serious reviewer, and my review is very clear about what happened and what is wrong with this place.

Yikes, I went to an organized event where they set up 2 tables of 6 for us. The restaurant actually had to sign up to participate which means they knew we were coming. The service was extremely slow. There were was only tables of six, later 2 tables of 2 and 1 table of 4 of on the patio taken care of by someone else. I sat down at 7:05 and couldn't order a drink until 7:20ish. I watched the server keep peeking around the corner like he was forgetting something and then disappear, I had to ask about all of our drinks (he seemed offended), just after 7:50 the drinks came and only 3 tables were seated including us at the time. The manager never stopped by the table and walked around with his hands in his pockets as his bar and 1 server clearly struggled. Food came about 8:15 (we all had to be at the next event at 8/8:30). We ate and asked for our checks, the server never came by to check on us. 8:50 we asked again for checks, at about 9:05 I asked for a manager, I was told he had gone for the day (while the restaurantwas at its most full for the evening). Our server came with the checks, a supervisor later came and the other table and I explained the issue she said she would discount us and look into the problem. The woman with blonde hair never returned and we all received no discount. For a restaurant with virtually no patrons it was lethargic and sad. I've also done a staycation at this hotel in the past, glad I never decided to eat here. We were all too tired and over it to enjoy the next event. I had high hopes as I really wanted to come back for the live music but the service and lack of management makes me never...

Our dinner was shameful to say the least at a hotel that has the audacity to call itself Epicurean. Our service was slow and we were the only people there on a Friday. Our amuse bouche was good, but it quickly went downhill. We had the Beet Tartare and Moroccan Lamb Meatballs to start. The beet tartare was an arrogant pile of beets and nothing else. It lacked fat from egg, acidity, salt, or herbaceous qualities, it was an expensive wreck. The meatballs were decent and a generous portion for a starter. My wife had the "duck 2 ways" and I had the "roasted delicata." The duck was abysmal. It was tough and rubbery and the duck sausage was like leather and burnt. Horrid to serve that. My dish was the vegan option which had mushrooms and pomegranate and many other toppings. It was decent, if a touch timid. I wasn't mad about it. Thankfully they took the duck off the bill because it was atrocious. For desert we ordered the stick toffee pudding, but what we got would've made anyone from the UK laugh out loud. It wasn't bad, mind you, but it was not sticky toffee pudding in any measure. It was a decent dessert, but sadly missed the mark. I have to talk about the price. It's sooo overpriced, even taking the cookery errors out of the equation. Nothing on their menu was a reasonable price for the offering. Sadly the amuse bouche would've been the thing worth paying for and it was complimentary. Our server was very nice and the atmosphere would've been nice if not for the waiting and sad, sad ,sad food. It really sucked the nice out of the occasion. Tldr: overpriced and sloppy cooked food that took...
