I want to preface that this is pertaining to their event/sales staff, and not to the quality of the food in the restaurant. I highly recommend NOT booking any private events with them due to the very negative experience we had with their event coordinator. My fiance and I were really excited about hosting part of our wedding weekend here. We love the food and the space, and Tana - who manages events - seemed great at first. She invited us to come in for an in-person meeting to go over everything and answer our questions. We were scheduled to meet with Tana on 6/17 at 6 pm (see screenshot for email thread confirming this date and time). We drove all the way to Midtown during rush hour traffic and rain, arrived on time, and then were told by another employee that Tana had already gone home for the day. No notice, no message - just gone. A staff member stepped in to cover for her, and while she was kind and tried to help, she clearly didn't have the information we needed. It felt like she had been asked to do this 15 minutes before we arrived. She said she'd pass along our questions to Tana. We followed up OURSELVES via email (see the second screenshot with the timestamp of 6/23 - one full week later with no follow-up) and still didn't get a response for 4 days. Finally, I called the number in the email and Tana picked up. Not only did she not apologize or acknowledge missing the meeting - she had no idea what I was talking about. She didn't know my name, didn't remember the scheduled meeting we had set up the week before, and literally asked, "We had a conversation?" The only reason we even got in touch was because we chased her down. Otherwise, we were completely ghosted. This is someone whose role is literally to coordinate and be hospitable, and Tana completely dropped the ball. What started off with promise ended in silence, confusion, and a total lack of professionalism. We were really hoping this would be a part of our wedding weekend. But instead, it left us feeling completely disregarded and honestly shocked at how poorly it was handled. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ UPDATE: The "owner" replied below who I suspect is the individual called out in my review above. They indicated our "tone and demands were not in harmony with the restaurant's concept or approach". Interesting how they knew our tone and demands despite no showing to our scheduled meeting and have never met us. If the restaurant could not accommodate, you let the inquirer know that, not ghost them. This just shows the complete lack of professionalism. The screenshots below clearly do not show a disrespectful communication - more so confusion as we were left hanging and then for this hostile reply below with still NO apology or taken accountability is wild. For anyone interested in proof, I will gladly forward the entire email thread to you. Always save your emails!

My sister and I chose Pasta da Pulcinella for an early dinner before heading to the Atlanta Symphony's Christmas Pops concert. The reservation was for 5:30, so when we arrived at 5:15, we joined a few other people outside. The website and the sign on the door said they opened at 5:30. After a couple minutes, the hostess opened the door and said they opened at 5. I think they need to update their signage and website. The hostess was lovely and gracious, and we got to our table around 5:20. This restaurant is located in an old bungalow, so tables and chairs are rather tightly packed. There was plenty of room to move our chairs, so that was a plus, and I didn't feel like someone was staring over our shoulder from the next table. It just makes traffic from customers and staff a bit cramped. The table seated four and the chairs were comfortable. Our server was Hannah. I'd read various reviews that said she's was a star, and we were very appreciative of her. She was attentive but not overbearing. Never in our way, she took our drink order quickly and returned soon to ask us our choices. On the table was some fresh bread, olive oil, a water carafe, and salt and pepper. We ordered salads: mine was the Caesar topped with anchovies, and my sister's was the arugula with lemon vinaigrette, goat cheese, and pine nuts. Both were delicious, fresh, and not drowning in dressing. We had plenty of time to eat them before the main course arrived. Finished dishes were taken away quickly and efficiently and unobtrusively. I had the Ravioli di Funghi with the Italian sausage as suggested, and my sister had the Chicken canneloni. Both were full flavored, and the pasta was some of the best I've ever had. For dessert, I had the cheesecake of the day, creme caramel, with a double espresso and a digestif of Sambuca Black. My sister had an Americano. Both coffees were fresh and strong. The cheesecake was creamy and satisfying. Our meal was around $86. Highly recommended.

TLDR: Disappointing restaurant. The majority of reviews are from before they moved where I assume quality was better. The service was ok. Our waiter was very sweet, but very slow. She seemed to be dealing with all of the tables in our section, so the service suffered (long wait times, forgetful, etc). The atmosphere made this even worse. Tables are arranged extremely close together making it pretty hard to keep conversation. At points, even restaurant staff would yell across the dining area complaining about something or the other. One of the waiters / hosts yelled about the restaurant running out of clean glasses (huh?). Anyways, food wise... Yikes! Low quality food. We started with the bread and crispy ravioli. The bread was terrible and flavorless (even when dipped in olive oil and balsamic). It was also cold. The crispy ravioli was ok, but the exterior was inconsistent and the inside was pretty flavorless beyond the melted cheese. Very disappointing appetizer. We ordered the Ravioli and the Tortelli di Mele. I'll note that the waiter oversold the Tortelli saying how it was to die for and how others came from far to see the food. The ravioli was ok at best. The pasta didn't taste fresh and the sauce was poorly incorporated and separated pretty quickly (yuck). The Tortelli di Mele wasn't bad. It definitely had a great contrast of flavors, but it was dry and flavorless after eating more than a few bites. Very disappointing, especially given the waiter's remarks. The dessert was ok. The layered chocolate cake was dry. The cake itself wasn't moist, and the cream / icing had little flavor. Eh. I don't drink, but my S/O got the chocolate cocktail. She said it was good, but way too strong. Glad I went here though, so I know not to in the future on more important occasions.

We've been coming to PdP for years including their last 2 locations. My husband and I have a very special place in our hearts for this restaurant. Sadly last Saturdays experience in their new location was a huge disappointment. The location is fine and the new building although lacking in charm was fine too. The night started with a very surly hostess who was beyond rude. I commented that I'd been coming to this restaurant for years and was delighted they were able to find a new home - her response was a grimace and a stiff smile. She asked if we wanted inside or out we said in and then showed us to a table upstairs. Apparently that table was not available so we had to go downstairs where she stuck us in a corner at a table for 2, 3 at best (there were 4 of us). When we asked if we could sit outside she said it was unavailable. So not off to a good start but I dismissed it because I knew the food would be good. Wrong. Let me start with the positive. My husbands food Tortilla de Mele and my food Pizzocheri Coi Rapini and Pulicinella salad was as good as ever. And the server was very nice & accomodating (btw the service 2 star rating was referring to the hostess and overall management not our specific server who was good). However our friends food, monkfish and gnocchi and caprese salad was terrible. Fish was rubbery and tasteless and the gnocchi sauce which was supposed to have crispy pancetta was tasteless and had soggy pancetta. The tomatoes were mealy and the mozarella was not fresh buffalo - which the server confirmed. We asked the server if we could see the manager and she said if they were here (which they weren't -on a Saturday night!) it would do no good but that she'd send over somebody. So they sent over the hostess (different from the one that had seated us) who looked very haggard and disinterested. She half-heartedly apologized and comped us the inedible monkfish and caprese salad. But we were looking to be heard not appeased. Who the heck is in charge?? I've read the reviews and most of the very good ones refer to the old location where a manager was always present. You cannot move locations and not have anyone running the ship!! I want you to succeed - please don't ruin one the most beloved restaurants in Atlanta because we would heartbroken. I will come back in few months because everyone deserves a 2nd chance and I'm hoping that you will be past the growing pains of setting up in a new location. My obvious suggestions; get a new chef (asap!), implement quality control in the kitchen (if you don't have fresh ingredients - don't serve it!), please, please get a new hostess. They are the first face you see when you walk in the door - please get someone who wants...

If I could give 0 stars I would. We had reservations for my brother's bday. He had been before and all he got was the bolognase and said it was good. We are Italian, know good food as well as service. From the $15 valet, one guy, busy night and long wait for drop off to pick up. The guy was overwhelmed. The area we say was so cold,I was not the only one needing to keep a jacket on. The booth seats were hard and cold. The fried ravioli had no taste, were not hot and the calamari the same. It came with a small ramican of salsa, not marinara, also cold. I ordered a caprese that did not arrive, the waiter had to be tracked down and awhile later showed up with an ice cold dish,4 thick unripened tomatoes,3 pieces of thin mozzarella,a few strips of basil on the bottom. No oil, balsamic seasoning. I usually take pictures but nothing was photo worthy. I just saw photos of this dish and totally different than mine. It was pre prepared and pulled out of the cooler and into the table. I was hungry and not looking to eat alot of pasta so ordered the $39 rib eye, medium. It was described like the risotto and rapini were sides. They were mixed together. It was so bad not edible,it was tasteless and the consistency of glue. When I told the waiter again, awhile later he offered linguine with marinara,ok I say with the mush on my plate waiting. A large bown of mushy pasta appeared with awful sauce, not marinara. The steak, omg,I could have purchased a getter cut at Publix. It was so tough it could barely be cut and you could not chew it enough to get it down. Again, cold and full of grizzle. I let the others taste and the same reaction. Needles to say,I did not eat. The bread was ice cold and rock hard. Another aweful dish was the buckwheat pasta and rapini. All of the pasta was mush and nothing had taste or properly seasoned. MY brother and gf ordered the bolanaise and asked for cheese,we had to ask multiple times and one small plate was delivered but the waiter said another was on the way. When the other guy arrived he said, you already have cheese and literally three it on the table. The other tables had the waiter come to the table with the grater. I would have loved dessert but was not hopeful so passed. My brother ordered a late. It came in a latte cup but it was half full,Luke warm at best and no froth. Yes,they removed my steak but I left hungry. Horrible experience and lastly when I went to the ladies room right next to the pick up station there was an order of chicken Parm under the heat lamp. 3 people ahead of me,when I came out, dish still sitting under the lamp. I am shocked at all of the positive comments, maybe a change in the kitchen or a bad night but really poor experience and not worth...
