I would put 0 stars if I could. My experience at this apartment complex was exactly that complex. Particularly when it comes to the leasing office and one particular worker named Chloe, who was never helpful, very sneaky and lazy at her job. Instead of trying to find a solution, she would cause a problem. The elevators in the building were always broken or down. There were multiple instances where I had to carry my dogs up 16 flights of stairs and back down and back up again to take them out because all three elevators were down. Sometimes when I would get off work, there would be no message from the leasing office, but the elevators would be broke or just not working. The front desk is pointless. They donāt get their lazy butt up and open the door. What is the point of having a front desk door person if they donāt get the door. Also, packages would just go missing. We also had homeless people digging in the garbage can. Sleeping behind the garbage can where I take my dogs out And even getting into the building up on the elevator and knocking on peoples door. Even with all this happening, no emails were sent out. Any kind of event, the leasing office would try to run was canceled or horribly put together, knowing how many residents are in the building you should accommodate as if all are going to attend or at least 60%. Now living on the 16th floor and a two bedroom we did have a great view, but not worth everything else that comes with it. Never once have we had a problem leaving an apartment. On the day of move out, the leasing office was supposed to be opening at 10 A.m. no one showed up until 12 PM. Me and my fiancĆ© were told that we could pay online after coming Having someone in the leasing office prorate the rent For our last five days after speaking with the leasing agent that day they told me we would have to get a money order Or a cashiers check in order to pay the amount due no problem I secured the amount and made sure to hand it over to the leasing agent. I took a picture of the money order and the keys, both room, key and mailbox key and scan That was left on the leasing agents desk. Iāve been proceeded to get a call two days later From the leasing agent, Chloe, who randomly was just asking for an address for me They donāt have all the information and their system already from when we moved in. At the end of the call, she proceeds to say that there will be a balance on the account And then proceeds to ask what amount did we pay as a deposit when we moved in all this should be in there system, which we had been locked out of at this point. She then proceeds to change the number of the deposit from the full amount which was 2500 To $600-$500. And then hangs up on me quickly on the phone. I then have my fiancĆ© call her back because I was just a cosigner On the lease. She then proceeds to catch an attitude with my FiancĆ© and hangs up. She did all this while calling from the previous property managers number. After this situation, we reached out to the property manager multiple And have received no response while the amount For no reason Of them and they refused to act like I have proof of and will show in an attachment at the end of this review. Itās an absolute disgrace that I have to come on here and say all this to try to get From this property to respond back. We have been reaching out every day since May 4 and have response. Save yourself the time and money Different place to live with people who actually want to do their job Because now I am Another wonderful property with wonderful Are very helpful Accommodating and Iām in a bigger apartment And actually have Maintenance come and do their inspections On time and complete inspections not them and never come back and finish. I think this is a shame how they try and get over on people when they move out But if they continue not to respond, my father does work for the federal government, and I will have our lawyer reach out to the property as I am left with no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI lived in this building from Dec 2020 (when it was still Skyhouse) to June 2024. I've seen nothing but decline in building management, response time, and community activity since the new management took over in 2022.
The building is basically falling apart little by little. There have been elevator issues, pipe burst issues, some of the older units have issues with lighting and flooring and old appliances (that they wouldn't replace when I moved in), now there's parking deck issues almost weekly. And there was a huge garbage disposal issue recently that took too long to get a handle on. Not to mention they didn't give much of a solution to disposal of our trash.
The construction next door has been an incredible hindrance on daily living. Not only has it ruined most of the views in the building, the construction workers take up all the good parking spots because they let them park anywhere, it's caused insane traffic and navigating issues for residents, visitors, and delivery folks, and we've received no compensation for these inconveniences. It probably will be another year or 2 of this construction so I would just avoid it.
Sharp decline in staff quality. As nice as they are as people, some of the newer concierge members do not know how or just don't do their jobs. The package room remains a mess and unorganized, sometimes we don't even get notifications that a package is in the room OR the lockers, there's far fewer community events that take place than before, and sometimes we get no email responses or updates about what's going on in the area like water being out, street closure, or parking deck elevator being broken. Not to mention for a SMOKE FREE building I would smell and complain about smoke with little to nothing being done until months later of repeated complaints.
Useless upgrades. They put so much time into these insignificant, useless, fake upgrades to the lobby and elevator lobby that mean absolutely nothing and just caused inconveniences for months at a time. Including PAINTING THE DRIVEWAY?? Why do we care about painting the driveway when we already have enough trouble getting around the construction next door? Now we only have one way out of the parking deck!
Overpriced. For the area and the market, the rent is TOO HIGH when there are newer buildings with more amenities around. Probably with more responsive and caring management too. Chances are it's worth even the slightly higher price to get a much higher quality living experience elsewhere in the area.
Loud cars are a constant thing on spring Street, usually during quiet hours. This isn't the complex's fault persay but I think some of them live here?
They use Luxor lockers and a package room for our parcel deliveries and packages BUT... Lately we don't always get notifications for packages so they'll just sit there or we have to get them to open all the lockers to get our packages. We're supposed to get notifications via the Luxor app or via email that we got packages in a locker OR the room but sometimes days will go by and we get nothing. AND they'll send something back if it's been too long.
The move out process wasn't bad, but I feel like they don't keep great track of your process until the last day. I had to give them my notice to vacate twice and get the one we made approved because they have their own (that all tenants have to sign) but they don't tell you that until you talk to them. It's not in the letter they give you when it's time to renew.
Now I will say a few positive things about the place as well, because it wasnt ALL bad.
The maintenance team was always very nice and responsive. They weren't perfect but they follow up and genuinely care about their jobs.
The pool view is still pretty superb. Nice rooftop areas and club room as well. Always impressive to guests.
The other residents in the building are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've had the recent opportunity of spending the last 18 months here in Atlanta while attending graduate school at Georgia Tech, and I am beyond glad that I chose The M by Radius as my place of residence...
Leasing Team: To begin, I was truly blown away with the hospitality and proactiveness of their leasing team. Before here, I had never leased an apartment before, let alone amidst the busyness of Atlanta. The leasing team here continually went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. Their relentless support remained continuous from my initial "hello" and lease signing, throughout months of great conversations, laughs, and continued rental satisfaction and well-being check-ups, to honestly some very sad goodbyes as I closed my lease and moved on to my next adventure. I've had to call The M by Radius back since my move for close-out reasons, and it's amazing to them all back up in Atlanta what I'm currently doing.
Concierges: I might be biased, but The M by Radius had the best concierges I have ever had the opportunity to interact with. From the daily "Have a great day," to the "Welcome back! How was class?," to taking the extra several minutes and catching each other up on our weeks, I've made many great relationships with these concierges that continue to this day! They are all so respectful, and are willing to help in everyway they can.
Maintenance: Though the apartments are already very well-maintained as is, there is always bound for something to happen at some point. The maintenance team at The M by Radius, however, makes fixing the issue a piece of cake! Whenever I had even the most minor of issues, I could send in a request and they would be at my door by the end of the same day. Their personnel are super hard working, and very effective and efficient in their profession. We also had SO many laughs over the most random of things...all adding to the experience of living at The M by Radius.
Facilities: I really enjoyed my time at The M by Radius, not just for the big windows in my secluded room overlooking the bustling streets of Atlanta, but also for all the facilities that enabled me to live my best life while residing there. From the "way-more-than-sufficient-size" weight room, grill and chill area, and relaxing top-story pool, I loved staying at home on my days off. Get a good lift in, hang out at the pool with a drink, then invite the pals over for burgers in the evening! Honestly, I loved it!
Location: In regard to the location of The My by Radius, you are living smack-dab in the middle of Midtown, which is awesome! For me, it was very easy and quick to walk to campus. In the evenings or on weekends, there is a PLETHORA of different restaurants and bars within short walking distance, which I thought was a super cool perk...not needing to drive and park anywhere to go have a good time! I also went on many runs down to Piedmont Park and onto the Beltline, which is no more than a 10 minute jog away. And amidst all this, I felt COMPLETELY safe! Not being from a large city originally, I was at first skeptical of how safe just walking around in Atlanta would be, especially at night. I'm telling you, you could literally go out at 2am, walk alone in any direction for a mile, and you would feel completely safe! This was particularly nice for those late night and early morning MARTA rides to and from the airport (the MARTA station is only a 10 minute walk away, as well).
Overall: If you're looking for a safe and comfy place to live in Atlanta that has amazing staff, high-quality facilities, and literally puts you in the middle of the fun action, look no further than The M by Radius. It's the place to be, folks! And if I ever was required to move back to Atlanta for work, you know where you could...
