We travel often to try out different business establishments in the food industry. We came upon Five Coffee Atlanta via social media and upon the initial reviews we were very excited to see what it had to offer. Upon arrival there was no warm welcoming or greetings. We were new to the menu and while at the register we said hello to both Kayla and Stephanie during their shift. In return they both gave blank stares and rushed through the ordering process by responding "is that it?" their approach was abrasive and we were contemplating leaving due to the initial customer service interaction with the front staff. They weren't helpful and lacked customer service overall. We decided to stay for the food, beverages, and atmosphere . We two strawberry matcha latte's we were aware that it came in any other size so we received a small. We ordered the Mexican birria grilled cheese, the B.L.A.T sandwich and The forest fruit pancakes. We did not get our back kitchen servers name however, her customer service was exemplary. She was the most welcoming, pleasant, and polite. She ensured that our order and correct and that we had everything that was needed. The food was delicious, and the Matcha was pretty good although we couldn't taste much of the strawberry. The atmosphere was clean and had a chill vibe. The music was a bit loud for those working or studying.

Read moreI just can’t understand the hype. From the moment we walked in we felt unwelcome by the staff (mind you this was like 12pm on a Sunday so it wasn’t like we showed up at closing).
Any questions about the menu we asked the cashier were answered with silent head nods or a tone that screamed “why don’t you already know this?” Completely unacceptable at ANY business but it’s particularly disturbing when you’re paying nearly EIGHTY dollars for two coffees and two breakfast meals (seen in the photos attached).
Quite literally the only employee that showed us any kindness or hospitality was our server. The only highlight of this establishment is the location and presentation of the food. The photos speak for themselves, the food LOOKS amazing.
However not even the food it self makes up for the poor service because it is FILLED with custard to a point it is the only thing you can taste. Nothing we tried tasted like the actual food because the custard was so prevalent and overwhelmed any other flavor we may have been able to enjoy.
The coffee is ok, it’s not bad by any means but it tastes closer to a cup of Folgers than something that warrants the price they charge for it here.
Overall I would never go here again. There are so many other places nearby that are far cheaper with better service and better tasting...
Read moreYoung Americans have no concept of hospitality or customer service. Paid $16 dollars for anything I could have had at Starbucks for less or any other robo-cafe only with worse service from a barista in training with a non-functioning smile. Be happy, you got the job. Wear a smile mask if you can't fake it. No prices on the menu board. Sat at the bar because I wanted a coffee bar experience, bad idea, but instructed I had to stand 6 feet to my right at the POS to order. Would it really kill a business to trust their clientele, take an order and collect money later? Ordered an iced mocha and a pour over and she asked me "what beans?" and pointed me to a wall of beans on the other end of the bar that I was supposed to go over and look at and then come back and order, I guess. I Ordered. As I made my way back to my bar stool I heard the head barista explain that she was going to learn how to do a pour over for the first time on my drink. 10 minutes later it sucked, as did the mocha though. Too sweet. Supposed to be a roaster. Didn't see a roaster anywhere....
