After working from 4 am to 9 am, my husband and I decided we would order take-out from First Watch on Cane Creek Rd, suite 2. We were an hour away so we set the pick up time as 11 am. We arrived about 10:55 and my husband went in to pick up the order. At 11:12 he texted me to advise that "they were still working on it". At 20 after he texted me again to tell me he was still waiting. 10 minutes later the same thing, so I told him to ask for the manager - after asking the wait staff twice he finally raised his voice enough to be heard by half the restaurant and then the "manager/head chef" came out and asked my husband what the problem was. My husband told him - a medium height thin white man blondish(?). The manager/chef said our breakfast had been ready, but the people packing the to-go orders had neglected to get ours ready. We had also ordered 2 morning meditations (drinks). My husband finally came out about 20 till 12 carrying breakfast and our drinks. He handed me mine, I inserted the straw and took a drink. It was NOT what we ordered, it was watery and only tasted like watery beet juice. Hubs tasted his, same thing. He took both back in, again spoke with the same man, who offered to remake the drinks. When the replacement drinks came out, they were the same. This time I took them back in, again talked to the manager/chef who said he had made the drinks himself. I told him there was no sign of OJ or turmeric in the drink. I asked him to get a straw and taste them himself but he declined, asked if there was another drink he could get us. I told him the pineapple Express, which tasted a little watery, but you could at least taste pineapple. I told him that if the Morning Meditation they serve at this First Watch tasted like what they gave us, the customers are being scammed, not getting what they pay for. If you decide to go to this First Watch, the Morning Meditation should have predominantly OJ with some beer juice and turmeric. And you should see layers, not a fully mixed drink. As for us, we'll NEVER go back. When we got back home my husband's order didn't have the egg he ordered. Just a waste of time!...
Read moreToday, I celebrated my Birthday at First Watch Augusta! It was intentional! First Watch is much more than a Restaurant. It's a place filled with LOVE, GREAT HOSPITALITY,and TREMENDOUS Customer Service. EVERYONE, from the Hostesses, Wait Staff, Chefs, Managers, etc, are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I have personally adopted First Watch as my extended family. They have been INTEGRAL in my HEALING! Let me explain. Last March 2024, I ended up having unexpected Open-Heart Surgery. It was a tough time for me. The healing process took a toll on me in various ways. Last year, on my Birthday, I was still healing and struggling to get back to myself. I remember my husband asking if I felt up to leaving the house to get a bite to eat. I gathered my strength and suggested First Watch. I remember that as I struggled to walk, catch my breath, and just have a moment of normalcy, how Mikie(an EXCELLENT SERVER)waited on me GRACIOUSLY! She had no idea what I was battling with. Her AMAZING Customer Service, along with the pleasantries of other staff, brought me back to life! The warmth and kindness shown made my visits more frequent and ultimately got me back to LIVING MY LIFE with MORE JOY AND GRATITUDE than I can express. This establishment is so much more than just a place to dine. HEALING takes place there. People go there to get away from struggles of life, to give themselves respite, and so much more. Mr. Rob is doing a PHENOMENAL JOB with the staff. We all know that businesses will only be as good as the leadership....and FIRST WATCH AUGUSTA IS TOP NOTCH!! Thanks to EVERYONE there today for allowing me to celebrate my BIRTHDAY and my HEALING Milestone that you have played such an important role in. You have SET THE BAR on Customer Service, and I am FOREVER Grateful for the impact you have made in my life! If you haven't had the opportunity to visit FIRST WATCH AUGUSTA, you are doing yourself a terrible injustice. It's not just a DINING experience,it's a FAMILY EXPERIENCE! MUCH LOVE FIRST WATCH...
Read moreI had to only give three stars not so much because the food but because of customer service. I go out of my way to come here sometimes twice a week. Now I've learned to always call in because I live a town over to decrease the wait time. My first time experience was not great but I was convinced to give them another chance because the food was good. I initially thought lack of customer service was because they were busy and sometimes when places are overwhelmed you're not going to the best the customer service. However I started to call in ahead of time but everything trip something is not right and they don't have the best attitudes.On one occasion I was charged for something that I get didnt get when I brought it to their attention the manager acted liked it was an inconvenience for her to refund me. This last time I tried to call in my order but the phone was not working .I know that sometime businesses take their phones off the hook when they're extremely busy.When I arrive they didn't seem that they were busy at all. When I arrived I initially told the hostess that I attempted to call several times to place my order and didnt know if they were aware that their phone line was not working. She looked at me with a blank stare and told me I could place my order at the bar. The issue didn't get acknowledge until the another worker came over and asked could they help me and I told them I had already placed my order but when I mentioned the phone issue to her she immediately went to the manager and told her about it. Maybe the initial hostess didn't realize when people can't place orders thats a loss for the businesses. I didn't mind waiting on my order but some was cold when I received it.
