Today was a bad day for Office Depot at 3775 Walton Way Ext, Augusta, GA 30909. I will no longer be going to this store. I have always bought my service and non service dog with me and have had no problems. Until today, a manager told me they don't allow dog in here unless they are service. When I asked him when did the depot start this new policy? His reply was we only allow service dogs. I explained one was and one was in training and I have never been turned away for a dog here before. He just walked away. I put the dogs in the car and went back in with the office depots web site. The site said Office Depot is dog friendly and it was up to the manager of the store to change the policy for his location. The 2 managers there on duty were not rude but did not know what the American for Disabilities act says about service animals. They were convinced (and a little arrogant) they could ask me any question about my dog or my condition. I recommend strongly if this Office depot location has decided to go non-dog friendly, they should clearly mark the door with service dog only and get trained quickly on the ADA law on what you can or can't ask a disabled person before the company ends up in a Civil Rights Law suit. Either way, we went to Staples and purchased our back to school supplies which has a sign that says only service animals and didn't question or bother me while...
Read moreWe started at this store to buy office furniture for the home. The online Office Depot is horrific. We waited for three weeks and finally called only to learn that our items were not in stock. Additionally, they sent the filling cabinet so we got stuck with that because it came immediately.
The matching desk never came and we had to fine out on our own-no courtesy call from Customer No Service? The hutch I bought with my desk same experience-we had to call after waiting three weeks-not in stock.
My advice is to eliminate Office Depot from ordering online. Moreover, they sent me the wrong bookcase and failed to tell me that this is not an exchange, but I will have to re-buy and then get a refund on the original order more delays, no notice?
They let you buy items and makes promises to deliver, but what they don't tell is that you may get half the order and the other half is on back order...then you are stuck with half the order. As the items are shipped in a box and you assemble the products waiting for the complete order only to find out it is on back order. My advice is not to open the items until the complete order arrives. Better yet, Eliminate Office Depot online! The one star is a stretch if I had my way it be...
Read morei hate that i have watched first hand the decline of this place. office depot used to be my wallet's kryptonite, but now i have to force myself to go & it really sucks. ivan is a real winner for sure. he always greets you with a not-so-friendly reminder of what time they close (bc he apparently ALWAYS has somewhere important to be.) then, most recently, i was returning an item, he asks to see the receipt, i tell him i have it on the app. i finally find it, even though i only needed store credit for an exchange, to which he replies "it has to be the paper receipt." he has already rung up my other items & keeps insisting that i pay for them, like he already had 0 plans of issuing store credit. clearly it doesn't HAVE to be the paper receipt bc i definitely just hit "email receipt" on the card reader. i guess he wasnt ready for that response & he got so angry he balled up his fists & walked away from the register to take what appeared to be a "breather" while being calmed by another employee. while im standing there. without my items paid for. go ahead ivan, if you're that mad, hit me next time. bc all i did was come to buy office supplies & exchange one item for another - WITH MY...
