Terrible experience. I have been going back and forth for countless hours since January trying to get what was promised for my wedding (which is tomorrow). Please see the email that I wrote to the CEO of Jos A. Bank yesterday detailing my experience.
"Iâd like to preface this email by saying my wedding is in 2 days (March 21st 2015) and none of my groomsmen have vests for their suits.
My fiancĂŠ got her dress and her bridesmaids dresses from Davidâs Bridal, so we were originally planning to rent Tuxedos from Menâs Warehouse. I have had great past experiences with all my Jos A. Bank suits, shirts and pants so we stopped by the store in Christiana DE on January 10th before making the final decision. We found a suit that worked well with the colors and style of our wedding. However, the suit only came with the jacket and pants. I asked if we had the option to purchase the matching vest separately because the suits would be for a wedding and needed to be more formal. I was promised that the vest would be available, so I arranged a time on January 24th for myself and my 9 groomsmen to come in, get fitted and purchase the suits. Between the groomsman and myself, we have spent well over $4,000 for suits under the guarantee that Jos A. Bank could deliver on their promise.
The sales associate said they would order the vest that day and they should be in within 3-5 business days. I called into the store 5 days later to get an update and was told the vests were actually never ordered because some of the guys were a size 36, and the smallest vest available in that color was a 38. I said ok, no problem, please just order the guys who wear a 36, a size 38 vest. Once again I was told the vests would come in roughly 3-5 days. I called back 5 days later to get an update and was told âwe meant to call you, but the smallest vest available is now a size 40, so we never ordered the vestsâ. I asked to please have them ordered immediately and we will have to make due. Once again, I was promised they would be ordered and even gave my credit card information over the phone to avoid any possible delays. I called back 3 days later to ensure the order had at least been placed, and was told âwe meant to call you, but the smallest vest available is now a size 42, so we never ordered the vestsâ. At this point the sales associate told me to âjust call corporate and see if theyâll helpâ. Had it not been for the countless conversations and promises that we would eventually receive the vests, neither me, nor any of my guys would have tailored their suits and we would have returned them immediately. Instead, I was continually fed false hope and promises. Now, I am 2 days before my wedding and have not received any viable solution to replace the vest.
I have spent countless hours, and talked with countless people from your corporate office, taking personal time away from work, and time away from other wedding preparations trying to get this resolved and still have no answers. The most helpful was a lady named Christina Arnold. Christina was trying everything she could to rectify the mistakes of the store and come up with solutions, but to no avail. Christina passed me off to a supervisor named Jason who called and left me one voicemail while I was at work on March 12th. I called him back that evening and left him a voicemail but have never heard back until I called corporate again today (March 19th).
I, along with all my guys, feel like Jos A. Bank pulled a âbait and switchâ simply to get a large sale instead of being honest about what they could offer from the beginning. Now we are left out to dry 2 days before the wedding with no answers...
Read moreIf I could give ZERO stars I would!!! Scheduled an appointment for my husband to get a suit for our wedding, his appt was 4/10/22 at 12 PM, he got there at 11:55 and waited at the counter until 12:15 with NO acknowledgement from anyone. A women walks in at 12:15 with a suit already in her hands and they skip over my husband and help her. He calls me upset obviously so I call the store asking why his appointment wasn't acknowledged and why he wasn't helped. They tell me they don't take appointments, I laugh and say I have an email confirmation of the appointment, he says whatever, we don't take appointments, it's first come first serve. I respond why would I have an email confirmation if you don't do appointments, either way, he was there BEFORE her so why was he ignored? His response was just "okay." I said "all you have to say is okay?" he again says "okay." And with that I disconnect and called corporate who referred me to a different company or the Greenbank location. The gentleman from Corporate was very understanding and helpful in getting a resolution, but it's still very off putting and frustrating to be treated like that. The customer service at this store is absolutely horrible and we'll be looking into other tux options for...
