As a family we have planned to go to dinner at Texas RoadHouse since my son wanted steak. on the website it says any parties over 6 need to call this number....so I called as soon as they opened, I wanted to be put on the waitlist etc. I was told to call back 1 hour before arrival. No big deal right... Ok so I called back 1 hour before arrival and told them the party name and the amount of people as well as the arrival time. When we got there we checked in. all of our guests were not there yet so we continued to wait. 15 min after our planned arrival time we got seated. (not their fault. Other guests were late). We were seated in a booth with a 4 person table beside us, so we pushed the tables together. While our waitress was getting our drink order, someone came and told us to move the table back to the way it was due to the fire hazard. We were reluctant to do so. We made an opening that we can get out of just in case of a fire. That wasn't good enough. The point of our family all going together is to enjoy dinner TOGETHER one table under one roof. not separate. Try having a conversation with someone at the other table. You have to yell. For them to hear you. Then everyone else around you is disturbed and also knows what you are talking about. The point that I am trying to make is that it needs to be stated somewhere or they need to tell you that you will not be sitting together with your party. If we were told that we would have left and went somewhere else. They had plenty of opportunities to tell US/ME that we were not going to sit together. -when I called -when we got there- online etc. ALSO IF THEY DIDN'T WANT THE TABLE MOVED THEN WHY ISN'T IT BOLTED TO THE FLOOR!
Then while eating I crossed my legs and the table we were sitting at had a leaf in it so you could make it bigger that was not even offered either. My food was okay. others in the party were not happy with their food. Over cooked under cooked wrong sides a mess all the way around. Our poor waitress was trying to keep her calm and did everything she could to help the situation. She was not aware that we couldn't move the tables etc. This was an awful experience at Texas RoadHouse. The times listed on the website are not correct. Some areas it may be right and other areas it says something different. They don't match. -- So If you have parties larger than 6 it is probably best to say order take-out or go...
Read moreI'm 73 years old, and I was at your establishment with my son my daughter-in-law my wife and four grandsons ones which was 5 years old and we were celebrating his birthday because what he said was he wanted to ride the donkey. While we were there we had to wait they said it would be a half an hour we've been waiting for probably 15minutes. I went to the bar and ordered drinks, for myself a margarita. Meanwhile a group of nine came in around this time I'm really not complaining but we had reservations and it already been waiting for 15 or 20 minutes and they come in and they were seated. No big deal I didn't even say anything to anybody I didn't complain I've been through worse things in my life. While sitting and waiting I gave my 16-year-old grandson a sip of my margarita. At the register with some young girls that go to school with him who has seen me give him a sip of my margarita. We were seated and the waitress came over and said she had to take her alcoholic drinks because someone had seen me give my grandson a sip of my margarita I apologize to her and went back to speak to the manager I apologize to her and she told me she thanked me for apologizing to her and the waitress the rule was exedra I said I would leave just let them drink and enjoy themselves I was the one that broke the rule and she said she couldn't. Like I said I'm 73 years old I'm not really big on rules I have not been for a long long long long time as long as it does not hurt anyone or does not cause"real" "real" trouble........ ..... To tell you the truth, I would have left right then. But it was my 5-year-old grandson's birthday and he wanted yeehaw! But if the rule is so much so that you have to take our drinks. Why would you even serve us why would you not ask us to leave. Instead of saying you help me enjoy our meal. I'm not excusing me and you don't have to give me an answer, because I already know. $$$$$$$$$. Next time I break the rule tell me to leave don't take my money. Oh I'm sorry but when I was asked to give my drink up I drank...
Read moreWe made our order. Our waiter Pedro was nice enough but went MIA. Our appetizer came out. The taste was not as expected for a blooming onion but we made no complaint at the time. Two of our meals came out back to back. We were told the third order would be out in a moment. I ate my salad and part of my main course and still my mother's dinner had not arrived. She had only ordered potato skins with extra sour cream. How long does that take? My sister had eaten half her meal by now. I finally got up and located a manager since our waiter had gone missing. The manager spoke with me and said they would locate her food. She arrived at our table with a plate of very apparent reheated yet cold, limp potato skins. I explained this was not acceptable and at this point I requested a new baked potato myself as well because 1. It was not prepared properly. I had ordered a loaded baked potato which incurs an extra charge and it came out with no bacon and a sprinkle of unmelted cheese. 2. It was now very cold after sitting while I tracked down my mother's meal. The manager did take my potato and the potato skins back and had them remade but the experience was stressful and very unrelaxing. We had chosen to eat here after picking my mom up from being in the hospital and we just wanted to sit and have a nice time with her. This ended up not being the case. I would not visit this place again. The atmosphere had much to be desired as well. I have visited other Texas Roadhouse. This place was lacking the atmosphere, music, server enthusiasm, and organization. At the end of this, the waiter arrived at our table after being MIA since dinner and procedes to very quickly punch up the bill on the electronic machine and wanted us to pay. He became very agitated when I insisted on seeing the bill first. He finally gave us the bill so I could review it. It also took some time in getting To go boxes for our food. I had to ask several other servers before we received them. I was all too happy to...
