We booked the unit C-4 from Sheryl via Airbnb well in advance, along with another place in Daytona for the week following our Clearwater stay. Both places were about the same price. As we were to find out once arriving in Daytona, the difference could not have been more drastic. And that does not speak for our unit at Coral Resort. While getting to our accommodation was easy, not withstanding the down-pour from Tampa airport on our way the manager of the resort was still on hand to hand us the key to our apartment. having lugged our luggage up the stairs we arrived at a place that was way smaller than we expected and could have guessed from the photos. The bath room and shower seemed to have been redone recently and gave the best impression of the place. Everything else was well worn. The Futon was short of being filthy and the fold-out bed from the wall unit seemed to have seen better days, with me measuring 6-2, being way too short and uncomfortable. The sliding door too the tiny balcony had the the blinds falling off when trying slide the door open. So we did not really use it in the fear of having the entire blinds collapsing. The fridge was humming loudly all the time which was really disturbing at night. The lamp on the stand between the two armchairs would not stay on. The only other light was from the ceiling fan and one inside the foldable bed. Another light fixture above the stove was not attached properly at crashed into my wife's joghurt and had produced a big mess for her to clean up. The whicker chairs were really uncomfortable to sit on. Our overall impression is things barely worked at this apartment, which is definitely too small for two people. It might be ideal for young folks that are only there to crash but not to spend time. Although the overall impression of the complex was positive and clean, it will not be on our wish list for future stays. On the positive side is the pool and the little pier towards the the intra-coastal. Also the sun-rises are spectacular if you are an early riser. The proximity to the beach and the resort being within walking distance of the main beach area are a plus as is the fact that it is generally quiet, which would make it ideal for folks that need to get some rest and away from all the noise the beach night life has to offer. We feel Cheryl really needs to upgrade the place. This is our honest advice as we have a good reference with what it could be from our stay in Daytona. Please fix the window blinds. Throw out and replace the grumbling fridge. Get rid of the filthy futon and instead provide for two foldable baggage racks. Please provide for two comfortable chairs for the table and put in a comfortable bed and mattress that sleeps two tall persons. This apartment can really only sleep two persons. Any higher number is misleading and will only disappoint the guest. You also need to think about your pricing. With all the improvements I named it is still on the expensive side. For nearly the same price we got a huge apartment in Daytona with all amenities, separate bedroom, fully furnished kitchen, dining room and living room and other goodies all chique and elegantly modelled. Your place offers potential, but just not in state it is right now. One more thing, please pay the ice cream parlour from across the street a visit, really great guy, he makes great ice and...

Read moreLong post...main point is DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE DISAPPOINTED. Location is convenient but there are PLENTY other hotels to stay at! We checked in around 5:30pm on Aug. 7th, for a long weekend away with no children and to get married. First night there, went back to room to get rready for dinner, go to shower and the shower head falls off hits me in the head, no shower for the evening. We immediately called the number on my welcome email, asked if there was another room, there was not. One we could briefly shower in but would need to return to our room for the night (what a hassle) and maintenance would be there the next morning. We asked for a refund to just go ahead and stay at a hotel down the road. There was so much more to deal with that night besides no shower. No garbage can except in the bathroom, which smelled of urine, we had to tie a garbage bag around the close door handle all weekend. and the private balcony advertised is a shared rusty metal ledge looking at the bay and directly into another rental, with onlybroom to stand, there was no balcony seating. No refund but did offer $30 credit for inconvenience. We were tired and said ok, tomorrow will be better. Tomorrow was no better, they did fix the shower head and light but there was no hot water. Finally not even 1 hour before the uber arrived to take us to the license and ceremony, we were able to take cold and luke warm shower, Again we texted management and no refund could be offered, But they would let hoa know about the water. They sometime came and checked that day but when we returned no hot water. Our entire stay we had no hot water in the shower. Wifi didnt work, we came back multiple times with our door wide open. The room would have been ok, we could've easily overlooked the other misadvertisements and inconveniences, had we just had the hot water but the fact that the ower or manager wouldn't even give us a partial refund, I offered to pay the 1st night, is ridiculous and goes to show they don't care about their guests only the money the receive. There is no sofa as advertised, a small wicker table and 2 folding chairs, 2 dirty wicker chairs to set in and a Murphy bed with a very firm mattress. The pool water was warmer than the shower water. Let's not forget that the air conditioner worked for awhile and would cut off and display a code. After my husband fooled with it he got it back on but there's no filter and full of mold. We checked out today and still have yet to heard anything other than they apologize for our inconvenience and will talk to their team. Shouldn't be that hard, to give a refund if a customer isnt happy because YOU can't provide a service actually needed like hot water! I wasted more time complaining that I should have just but the bullet, booked another room at a decent place, and fought this fight when I returned home. Lesson learned. Thank you for a less than...
