I have stayed at Marriotts all over the world and this is the worst. Tim Osterhut ( Front Desk Supervisor and Tameka (Manager) were the managers I spoke to with no avail. We checked in late Friday night and there was an issue with the plumbing. There was no TV and the lights were flickering on. It did look like they just were finishing construction because there was still a wall that was not plastered or finished. We called downstairs and they sent a security guard who then informed us to call back the next morning and see if the engineer could come up and fix it. The next morning at 8 AM I spoke to Tameka on the phone and said we’re leaving for the day to go to the beach and would like to have the following things fixed the plumbing, the TV and the lights. We show back up at the hotel at 1:30 PM and nothing had been done. We had also asked for daily cleaning service. So we went downstairs and I spoke to Tameka in person and I said this morning at 8 AM I asked you and she’s like yeah yeah yeah I thought I sent someone. I then spoke to the engineer myself with Tameka standing there and I said I’m in room 545 . We leave again and come back around 5 PM. The room still had not been fixed so while my kids went swimming, I went back downstairs and spoke to Tameka again and she’s like yeah you I told him , she went to go find the engineer who was the same engineer from 1 PM, this time I walked them to my room. I then came back downstairs looking for Tameka, who was nowhere to be found. I then spoke to Tim and Tim like I don’t know what’s going and don’t bother me. I then asked I’d like to speak to someone because it’s very upsetting . I was given a card for asst GM Delucha card . Neither Tim nor Tameka came to apologize. The engineer comes out and says oh your room is ready so we go upstairs and find that our room has not been made but at least the plumbing had been fixed and the TV had been. I’ve then went downstairs and asked about housekeeping and they told me that it would be every other day so on Sunday we left early and came back around 7 PM in our room was not made not serviced nothing. I called downstairs and Tim informed me that it should’ve been serviced. I then said OK this is now another issue and We had issues yesterday with regards to the plumbing. Can you please have the general manager give me a call? Tim responded in a snarky manner, I can’t have him call you when I’m on the phone with you. I said I understand. I am only a gold and I’m trying to make platinum. He said oh you got 11 more nights to make platinum you’re not going to make it . I then said ,well thank you so much for being so rude. His response was “it was my pleasure”. I immediately called Marriott Bonvoy and the guest representative informed me to check out immediately. They should’ve given you another room and they should’ve had the manager call you so I checked out. This morning even though we’re at a different Marriott property at this point, I find out that I’m being billed not only for those two horrible days. I’m now being billed for the next two days as well. I have never in my life been at a Marriott property so disgusting with managers that are the rudest individuals I’ve ever met and no action taken. I called Marriott Bonvoy again this morning and informed them that I’m being billed for two days that I’m not even staying there and the general manager still hasn’t given me a call . no one else has to stay at this place , there is hair on the little cushions because there is no headboard at this hotel. The pillows are flat as a board. The shower was dripping all night and all day. They never fixed that. The below pictures are after they supposedly serviced the room. We put our vags on the bed and immediately noticed the room wasn’t serviced. They made the bed and that was the pictures after they made the beds with us...
Read moreThis is a bit long but worth the read ~ I am a Gold Marriott member and I can tell you three excellent things about this Courtyard Location was amazing The view from our room was amazing The size of our room was amazing Now what and why we felt this is not a standard Marriott Courtyard We paid for the biggest room they offered it was a 2 room suite there was no clock in the bedroom and the living room had two small chairs and one oversized no couch so watching TV to rest for a bit was out of the question. Tons of empty space in the living room. We had two queen beds they started us out with 3 bath towels one wash cloth and one hand towel ???? Not even enough had to ask two days in a row for towels. The in room coffee pot was a joke seriously if they paid $5 they overpaid it is a single cup plastic piece of crap that did not work more then it is and once again not enough coffee cups and they had packets of dry creamer not liquid???? The fridge they sat on the counter top??? Fridge was very small and we had to keep hitting the refresh button every 2 hours to keep it chilled. Never any ice on any floors Housekeeping never came had to call for basic stuff like bed made take away used towels and clean trash Tried to enjoy the pool 2x and was unable they only have I think 12 to 15 loungers All staff seemed like they did not want to be there. My husband had to go to the bar to get ice and the bartender said he wanted to quit tonight as a guest was rude to him (I can see why this hotel can be sooo much more) We to the roof bar waited for 15 minutes and no service walked out My husband and I ordered each a beer at the lobby bar and the bar tender puts two cans on the counter and never offers to open them up ~ that was personally a first for me. The Hilton across the street on the beach is ALOT nicer from the outside and the pool area. We are long time Marriott members and try to stay at Marriotts where ever we go but for the money we paid it totally was a HUGE disappointment.
The response below from Marriott is just an auto response if they wanted to improve then...
Read moreI’ve never been to Clearwater Beach, but I have to say this hotel was super convenient and incredibly valuable for the price. To start, yes, the parking is $29, a day but you get the service of a 24/7 valet. Also, if the price truly bothers you, you can get creative with paying for street parking or looking for cheaper lots. Check-in was great. I got in a little late and there were no issues with getting me into the room I booked. The Rooftop Bar is beyond gorgeous. You’ll feel relaxed just sitting up there and having a drink with family, friends or colleagues. The cocktails are a little pricey (avg $15). But the draft beers are regularly priced. However the rooftop is open from 4p-11p on weekdays and 4p-Midnight on weekends. My only recommendation would be extending the hours. The pool area is also incredibly spacious. The pool itself is pretty long for a non-resort hotel pool. Also, it’s under an awning that provides some reprieve from the sun. The pool area also had an outdoor ping pong table and connect 4 which I found to be a cute attention to detail. The gym is also A++++ with top of the line treadmills, functional trainers, medicine balls, dumbbells and more. Plus the treadmills are facing the marina. The view as your on the treadmill is just splendid!!
Although the elevator was down, it was NOT a big deal AT ALL. The hotel was up front that housekeeping is every other day. However, we asked for towels and they were there within 5 minutes.
Lastly, literally everything is within walking distance. From cvs, Walgreens, the beach, pizza spots, breakfast, ice cream, fine dining, beach bars, beach eateries, pier 60, and all the popular spots. This place is in the center of it all. Unless you’re specifically seeking out a resort style with private beach and chairs, this is your place. However, the area of public beach by the hotel is not overpopulated at all. Bring your own chair and umbrella and you are in business. Highly,...
