Blue Wave Suites — Hotel in Clearwater

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Gail was extremely rude and sketchy. The worst customer service I've ever received. I called her one day asking for the price for a family of 4 and she told me it was $169 and she had one suite left. She said the pictures on the suite were old and outdated. I told her I'd think about it and will return the call later. I called her the next day confirming the price per night for a family of 4. Now, she told me it's $179. I told her the highest rate on the website said $169. Gail told me $169 was for a suite for 2 people. This was an absolute lie. She also told me the website have not been updated for 6 years and the price you see on there, they do not know how to change it online. This was a lie as well. In addition, the $169 was some special Bahamas deal they did in the past. Probably a lie, too. She sounded like she was making up all this one the spot. Needless to say, This wasn't what she told me yesterday and so I decided to call her back after confirming the price with my family members. I called her shortly after an hour later willing to book the rate she had told me. However, I wanted to know the full price for the entire weekend. Gail refused to tell me and went off on the phone. She got really defensive over my question and accused me over the phone of threatening her and said she didn't feel safe. I did and said absolutely nothing to her. I had no idea what I said that ticked her off, I simply just wanted a confirmation price for the weekend, as any customer about to give their credit card information over the phone would. Gail hung up the phone still refused to provide her assistance. My sister called her later that day and she immediately said our family was a threat to her and was not allowing anyone from the family to book. Truly this is one of the nicest hotels/apartments myself and my husband have ever stayed at. Everything about this location was incredible. The check in process was very simple and self guided and it was very easy to find parking and find the room. When we walked in, the entry way was into the kitchen and living room area and we were astonished by the quality of the room and how homey it felt when we walked in. While we didn’t cook or use the kitchen much it came with full amenities like cups silverware, pots, everything you might find in the typical kitchen. The bedroom was quite lovely as well, the ac unit was right by the bed which made for very nice sleeping conditions and we were never too hot especially in the FL summer weather. The water pressure was always high and the hot water never ran out which was appreciated. We were about a two minute walk from the Beach and because we didn’t need a room key or anything we could leave everything in the room and not worry about it getting taken on the beach. The patio area was right next to our room and although the lights came on at night right outside our window we didn’t mind it. The atmosphere of the patio was quite soothing and such a beach vibe that was enjoyed every night if our stay. The burger place on the corner was also very good and just a walk away. The beach stores near by were also very nice and had so much to look through. Overall the location of this hotel was amazing and everything we needed was within walking distance.
