Large table of 13, ate at this location today as a family, ages ranging from 1month to 64yrs old. We had a small wait but to be expected for the time and size of our party. Sabrina was a pleasure the entire stay, getting our drinks, taking and bringing the orders. An additional girl, Junoi, that came to help was helpful although it was during times we were not in need but appreciated someone coming over to check on us. Towards the end, my younger cousin (15) accidentally spilled syrup from the cap not securely fitted on top. She made several attempts to ask for help and maybe grab some additional napkins. My aunt and uncle, in their 50s, attempted to grab her attention. Once we were able to grab Junoi’s attention, she told us “oh she’ll be okay, I’m sorry”. After the Failed attempt, she had to sit uncomfortable with the syrup on her pants. We weren’t sure what went wrong to start getting the attitude from the young girl. It was felt by everyone of every age because none of our questions were asking too much, we weren’t even a high demand table to be such a large party. As a previous server, it seemed this may have been her first job but if so, she will learn from very hard ways, not to treat customers and in life, people, that way...like most large parties in need of several splits of the check, we made it simple and only needed one check. After paying and wrapping things up, we waited on one additional order being placed ToGo for my mother that worked over night and couldn’t make it. Asking for ToGo containers, syrup, and reminder of the last order, she cut my sister off with an attitude abruptly, “yea, I know about it, it’ll come when it’s done”, as if we we’re wrong to check on and ask such a thing. Simply saying “it’s cooking or it’s being processed now or yep, we’re on top of it”, anything else would have been nice as a response. We were only trying to make sure she could remember it all before she left the table since she kept running it back to us. The attitude could have been saved. Despite the second girls mouth and kickback for normal service, we proceeded to tip and compensate for good food and service for a large party, again Sabrina did a good job, orders placed correctly, food cooked correctly. As I left the table, I noticed, one side of the table had over $40/50 and another end with about $10. We left yet something didn’t feel right. My sister and cousin, syrup and all, went in to let Sabrina know we left her a tip and to make sure she got it. I’m glad we did because out of all of it, the second girl had only given her $20. Sabrina had done all the leg work for our party and was a true joy as a server to had only gotten less than 50% of the tip. It’s only right, I give warning to the management team of this location, if they care to know, of their young servers. This was a very pleasurable experience outside of this young ‘tudy’, money hungry girl. Please train accordingly. Good paying customers could really do without all...
Read moreThe VA nursing staff catered breakfast for Doctors Day/Moral Day 4/7/2023. I ordinarily call ihop in Decatur on Clairmont since the VA hospital was down the street, but they don't carry the family feast. I live in Conyers so decided to order at the Dogwood location. I ordered 6 family feasts the day before and was called at about 6 am by the manager the next day. At first, he didn't think he would have everything ready by 630 but most likely 645am I was ok with the time, and he was able to fix my order for half turkey bacon and sausage to accommodate the different cultures that were being served. The website no longer allows customers to pick turkey. I arrived and was greeted by an older woman with a smile, who went to get the manager I spoke with on the phone also greeted me with a smile, the order was ready everything was neatly packed and was all there. The manager assisted me to the car, which I learned was a fellow Veteran, and his father as well. But I didn't notice how much the morning Dennys staff and manager went out of their way until I unpacked everything to set it up. Usually, when I order personal orders for my family, on a smaller order dine-in or delivery, there is always something missing or wrong. That morning every single check has checked the continents, plastic ware, and napkins everything was perfectly cooked. My coworkers were shocked and all wanted to either personally call Dennys to give 10 thumbs up. I dine at Denny's a lot. The prior weekend my 13year old and I dined there, the registers only could take cash after 4 tables were ordered, and each table left a family member at the store while we ran to the closest ATM. And they ran out of an item. One of my coworkers lives in Conyers as well and dined this weekend at the Dogwood Dennys just to give her gratitude. That was the best customer service we have all encountered from any restaurant, and I through a lot of events at work for coworkers. Dogwood beat the chik filet service hands down that day. We would like to do something for the Dogwood Dennys staff to show our appreciation but don't know what to do. Any ideas?
Thank you from Atlanta VA Gold team primary...
Read moreHighly Dissatisfied!!! I chose I Hop Restaurant over Waffle House Restaurant today that was the worse mistake of the day. Upon entering I Hop Restaurant. I noticed the Store Manager was seating customers as they came thru the door. I noticed her tone of voice was not very pleasant. So as we waited to be seated I saw how the Store Manager was talking to one of the employees very unpleasantly. So I said maybe she is having a bad day. I could tell her customer service skills were very unprofessional and kinda rude. So we finally got seated. The server then took our order. He came back with our drinks then he return to our table 5 mins later and said I am here to take your order I then pointed to the drinks on the table. I said you already took our order during our entire meal this server kept forgetting things we needed to complete our meal. My food got cold waiting 2 ask for everything the food was totally over cooked. I didn't see no one washing hands or anything people we are in a middle of a pandemic Covid 19 is real people. This guy should have never been on the floor until he was fully trained properly. If you want to enjoy a nice breakfast I Hop Restaurant in Conyers GA wouldn't be a good pick. Now back to the Store Manager she also need to be retrained because her customer service skills were very very unprofessional no matter where you work and your a Store Manager that business reflects directly back to you as a Manager you are the face of that business and believe me people are looking for you to set the example. I am totally done with I Hop Restaurant. Waffle House here I come at least you can see them cook your food plus wash...
