Golden Corral Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Georgia

I did not want to write this review, but I feel that if I don't, the matter may not be fully addressed. So I vista's location today, as I do several times a week, sometimes with coworkers. We work at the local filming studio near by, and it's usually quick, and convenient. The food was ok, but its usually a little better/fresher. But the insulting part of the visit is that when I went to get cookies, the tray was almost empty, and I asked the lady working if I could get some fresh ones, considering the tray needed to be refilled anyway. She looks at me and says they're fresh, then turns to walk away, not realizing it was a manager neat by. The manager then asks me what I needed, and I told him, and at that point she said one minute. After the manager walks away, the lady grabs the tray, goes over to the fresh cookies, and just throws them on the tray. Notbin the orderly fashion they are normally displayed. But to add insult to injury she then goes over to her fellow employee working with her and starts to mock me, repeating what I asked, and inputting her opinion on it. I could have acted completely unprofessional as she was, but I instead chose to speak with a manager, who was empathetic about the situation and stated that he would handle it. I still felt the need to make a public review because this is not the first time I have encountered an attitude from employees at this location simply for asking for fresh food. Some of our crew won't come here because of the same issues, and the fact that they don't make the customers use the gloves when handling the serving Utensils, amongst other things. I had never been to Golden Corral before and I have to admit that the commercials got me. I was excited to go there for the first time. I am sad to say that now that I have been, I will not be back. This is not a place for people who value quality over quantity. I did not like anything that I tried. Not one single item was good. All the food was bland! There was no flavor to the seafood items I tried and the chicken I tried was disgusting! The texture was rubber and flavor was so nasty I spit it into a napkin immediately.

I thought I could at least make a nice salad at the bar, but even that was disappointing. There was a limited variety of toppings and the vegetables looked unappealing. Things were mixed together from people dropping things into other containers. It was gross. I wish I would have took my money elsewhere. I feel that I wasted my money. $15 is too expensive for tasteless cafeteria food.

The only thing that was alright was the service. The server tried to accommodate the large party I was with to the point of overdoing it. My daughter got 3 glasses of soda almost back to back, while I never got a refill on my sweet tea. I gave her a pass though, she was working hard and probably not getting paid much on top of it.

Overall this is not the place for me, I don't eat, just to eat or just to be full. I like food that tastes good and it not a bunch of cheap, over...

The restaurant was notably clean and well-maintained, maintaining a presentable atmosphere. The staff we encountered were friendly and displayed a positive disposition. Lindsey, our cashier, handled a rush of customers with grace, and despite the busy period, remained pleasant throughout.

Our waitress, Jamie, added to the positive experience with her sweet demeanor and cute Halloween costume. Despite the bustling environment and her numerous tables to attend to, she consistently refilled our drinks, brought us plates, and checked on us regularly.

I'm not a fan of turkey, but the smoked turkey on the buffet caught my attention and turned out to be delicious on my first plate. Unfortunately, it was replaced by regular turkey when I returned. Fortunately, when I inquired with the kitchen manager, she promptly retrieved a fresh pan from the oven, going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. This level of service is not something you encounter every day, and it left me overjoyed.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our food, and the staff's exceptional service added to the positive experience. It's not common for a restaurant to go the extra mile to ensure customers are satisfied, so I will certainly return when I'm in the area. Golden Corral on Halloween exceeded our expectations, and we left the establishment...
