First... Some background. I've tried Indian food at various places and in a number of cities over the years. I've never particularly enjoyed it. My wife (a sous chef for 30+ years) has always enjoyed it. So she was excited to see this restaurant open up. And of course, I agreed that I would give it a try because that's just what we do in our marriage. 😍

We decided to pop in today and see how it was. We were greeted by the sweetest, most wonderful, welcoming gentleman. We ordered and when he brought our appetizer, he explained there was a sweet dipping sauce and a spicy dipping sauce. He saw us tentatively trying each, and said, "They are best mixed together. I eat that every day." He was absolutely right!

We ordered: Onion Bhaji (appetizer) Cheese Naan (the only thing I knew for sure I'd like) Chicken Korma (main dish that is served with basmati rice)

My friends! Every bite was delectable. Every morsel was cooked perfectly. I messaged a long time friend who knows how I typically feel about Indian food. I told her, "Turns out I DO like Indian food... if it comes from here!" And sent her the pic of their menu. (She responded with a shocked emoji.)

We can't wait to go back and try more dishes. Please support this new, wonderful restaurant! Fabulous food and...

Quick friendly service in an unassuming storefront. Great atmosphere for a quiet meal. My neighbor recommended Masala Bites, touting real deal flavors! I lived in a neighborhood for many years with many quality Indian restaurants. Masala Bites food is great. Our recent order of butter chicken was excellent. The tangy yogurt marinade on the chicken cooked in the tandoor, so succulent! The masala spices, yes I know redundant- FUN FACT - MASALA MEAN SPICE IN HINDI- layer upon layer of flavors. From the marinated chicken and the masala balanced perfectly, Smokey sweetness from the kaismarried chilies along with the tangies power bite of yogurt. Spot on! Just what I needed for my masala fix. FLAVORFUL I ordered non-garlic naan to go with my butter chicken, perfectly charred texture of flat bread exactly what I've have become used to. AUTHENTIC Every time we order we've been 100% satisfied with Masala Bites friendly customer service and outstanding flavorful food. My next birthday dinner, we'll be ordering from Masala Bites. 🕉️☸️🙏🏻

PS - TRY THEIR GOAT...

Dallas is a small, blue collar town pretty much lacking any restaurants that leap off the page. Except when it comes to Masala Bites. This is without question the best restaurant in Dallas. We used to live in Portland, and while there we often frequented various Indian restaurants. The flavor in the dishes served at Masala Bites is on par with, and in some cases even better than the best Indian restaurants in the Portland metro area. Not kidding. We have only lived here a few months and have already eaten here on several occasions, trying different dishes each time. We've never been disappointed- each dish is jam packed with dynamic flavor, and it's hard to stop eating them once you've started. The ambiance here leaves much to be desired, but hey, aren't the hole-in-the-wall places with incredible food pretty much always like that anyway? I'm willing to overlook a dull interior to stuff my face with awesome Indian...

Food was exquisite!!! The wife and I stopped in after in event, not thinking anything much of where we were going… Boy, oh, boy did that change!! Our orders were somewhat basic, I’ll admit but delicious nonetheless. I had the chicken tikka masala and my wife had the butter chicken. Side orders of cheese naan, garlic naan and samosas. ALL FANTASTIC!! My only problem is we don’t live in the area but would happily make the drive to enjoy more of this fantastic food! Truly divine! I’ve read a couple hate comments and have to say that it is absurd to me that anyone could taste this food and not fall in love with it!!! Could NOT recommend this place more!! (Picture is from before we DEMOLISHED those delightful meals!!😂)

Very quiet "blink and you'll miss it" location in Dallas, OR. Inside was clean and simple layout that could accommodate 5-6 people per large booth. Host was nice, checked in on us after our food came out - which also came out within 10 minutes of ordering. Got the Chicken Curry and Navratan Korma with Garlic Naan and Samosas. Everything was piping hot, fresh, and seasoned extremely well. Given the best Indian restaurant I've eaten at yet is located across the country (in the Midwest), this truthfully is the best Indian restaurant in the area. If you are looking for high quality, authentic Indian food? Do yourself a big favor and come try out Masala Bites - you won't regret it!

Chicken Tikka Marsala with tomatoes comes across as unpleasantly sour and acidic, practically like a soup. The chicken is notably tough and has a tart taste. Seriously! Butter chicken is reminiscent of Marsala, yet it's less tangy. The Garlic Naan appears to be insipid, with remnants of charred old food. The absence of garlic is disappointing. Cauliflower bites are unappetizing, as evident in the pictures. Perhaps the Samosas could be enjoyable if they weren't hard and stale. I regret not capturing a video of the struggle to cut through one. Despite being recommended by colleagues, this eatery has lost our trust after a disappointing $70 meal.
