My family LOVES this place. We eat there frequently, and have never been disappointed. Watt and Kim (owners) are lovely and hard-working people. Every time I walk in the door it seems as though we have been friends forever. I have tried close to everything on the menu, and I have never been disappointed. It’s hard to recommend one or two things because it’s all so good. I guess the things I order the most are the pineapple fried rice, and the fried wontons (oh my GOSH, that dipping sauce!). The Thai Basil Rolls are so refreshing. Pan fried pot stickers are a family favorite. We ALWAYS order these appetizers: pan-fried Pot stickers, fried wontons, rangoons, and Thai basil rolls. My wife and I REALLY love their Tom Yum soup, and their Pho. They use cabbage instead of bean sprouts, which I love. The Drunken Noodle, the curry, and the Pad Thai are all really good. When one or more of the fam feels like we’re coming down with something, we buy extra Tom Yum, and freeze it for later; it freezes very well! Thaw in the fridge for a few hours before reheating.
Oh! And I said we spend $20-30 per person only because my family has to order everything we want for leftovers during the week. We always spend a LOT of money when we order Bangkok Street!
Pineapple Fried Rice reheating tip: add rice mixture to a preheated pan, brown it a little, and then 1/4–1/3 cup water. I like to add some fresh chopped cilantro when I reheat it.
Fried Wontons leftovers (on the rare occasion you may have them) cook up great in the air fryer.
Thia Basil Rolls really need to be eaten fresh, but wrapping them in a damp, strong paper towel (like Viva), and placing them in a sealed bowl will keep them for a few days in the fridge. Don’t put them in the fridge right in the takeout containers.
Please stop by and see these lovely people, and try their...
Read moreWe got drunken noodles, potstickers, and pad thai. All of the food was really good!
I had never had drunken noodles so I have nothing to compare it to, but it tasted very good and came with quite a bit of food.
The potstickers were very reasonably priced. They were really flavorful and looked to be made in-house. The sauce they came with was delicious as well. Out of all the restaurants in Dallas, Bangkok Street's potstickers are my favorite.
I didn't order the pad thai, but I tried a bite and that was really good too. If you request very spicy they wont hold back! Which is a good thing! If you don't like spice though, that's ok because their other food is tolerable for people who don't like spice, and they clearly mark what is spicy on the menu.
The staff are very safety conscious as well and they are open for pickup only at this time (2/2021). The person that brought the food had gloves and a mask, and the place looked very clean.
Overall I will definitely regularly eat here! I am leaving this long positive review because I want to see Bangkok Street stick around in Dallas for...
Read moreThe food was some of the best I had had in quite some time. We weren’t sure what to expect after reading the reviews but went with an open mind, seeing past the appearance of the place. And I’m so glad we did! They seemed to have made everything fresh when we ordered. The steamed potstickers were amazing. I keep thinking about them and wanting more! I shared them with my husband but next time I’ll get a plate just for me. He had wished I’d gotten fried ones anyway😂 His yellow curry was outstanding! Perfectly spiced and so was my Tom Won Sen. could not be happier. So they use plastic faded tablecloths and have weird stuff on the windows to block the sun? But it’s clean and they use nice dishes and serve food deserving of much fancier...
