Panera Bread — Restaurant in Dover

We only chose to go to Panera after having a gift card for them. My meal was perfect as there was nothing wrong with it (I usually play it safe with the soup option). My boyfriend on the other hand is quite picky. He orders usually just a grilled cheese with bacon. We got our order and he noticed they had accidentally put onions and chicken on his grilled cheese. Usually being too shy he doesn’t say anything and we would normally just get him something from somewhere else. He decided to go in and try to get what he had ordered. He headed in, brought the sandwich and receipt just in case and asked if they could just remake it to what he ordered. He was met with “Well what’s wrong with it?!” As she read the receipt and looked at the sandwich. Surprised by this response, (in customer service the right response would be to remake it and say “sorry about that!”) he had to actually explain to her what the receipt said as if she couldn’t see it. Then with an eye roll they remade the sandwich. It did come correct but I do say it wasn’t the prettiest presentation...

Have been frequenting this location about 4 times in the past 2 weeks to study for a few hours. The table tops are always very dirty with straw wrappers, drops of sauce, and cup rings on them for hours at a time making it very hard to find seating. At certain times the buzzers are not being used for orders and instead you are prompted to provide a name for the order to be called when it is ready. I have never heard my name for my orders or at least it is not audible and have to play the guessing game to make sure my food doesn't get cold. Ordered a coffee today and noticed my large was in a medium cup and realized that it wasn't the first time it had happened was able to get it rectified without a hassle and they even let me keep the other cup since they were going to throw it away. Flies also seem to be a problem by the windows but at this time of year I haven't found anywhere that doesn't have a fly problem. Only redeeming factor is that out of the 4 cafes in the area this is the only location where the wifi connection is any good....

I was trying to decide what I wanted, I decided on cookies, the server was rushing me. She kept saying anything else, mind you this is before she touched anything. She gets a box, puts on gloves I was picking the cookies that I wanted & pointed too, but she was bound & determined to give me what she wanted me to have! First cookie was only one of those left, for the second cookie I told the server it was to the left pile, third cookie she picked it up & put it in the box, I said I don't want that cookie. She says I already put it in the box I reiterated I don't want that cookie, she says but I already touched it and I said you have gloves on! With that she took that cookie & threw it in the trash! Why waste that cookie? I hadn't touched the box yet, she was the only one who had & she was wearing gloves. So Panera's gloves must be unsanitary or something? If I were her employer I would've fired the little smart a## showoff for wasting product like that! That was totally...
