Yes we can claim to know about Pakistani food because not only are we from that part of the world but we have owned a five star Pakistani restaurant and a mini supermarket too selling everything from groceries to fresh organic meat . We do know how to cook too without using the packet spices like Shan masala and other brands . Very much foodies who have also lived in different parts of the world too .We stopped here this week and tried out two dishes and yes the lady can cook authentic Pakistani food which is a bit more different than the Indian food . The dishes were clearly cooked with fresh spices ground by the owners as opposed to dry powders sold in bottles which could be very old. We bought the goat korma ( goat in a delicious sauce) and fresh goat kheema ( minced goat) with freshly cooked naan breads to accompany the dishes. No smell from goat suggest they are using a good supplier and not frozen meat. The curry is spicy but not hot chilli spicy but full of flavor of spices which included fresh pieces of ginger, fresh minced garlic, fresh coriander which for us was like eating at home . Brilliant chief who knows how to cook . The naans need to made a bit softer and the trick is making the dough so they come out a bit softer. Other than that we were very impressed that finally we have a go to place where we can enjoy food like we do at home anyway. It becomes a problem when you go out and you think you spent all that money and the food doesn’t live up to what it’s supposed to be .Excellent food , clean place even the bathroom and this family is working hard to provide brilliant service . Go and try it out and enjoy the food at this place . Fully recommended especially if you never tried Pakistani cuisine in the past . You’ll be pleasantly shocked . This is run by a hard working family and deserve our support to retain a place where good authentic food is...
Read moreThe family and I recently traveled to the area to visit a water park nearby and wanted to grab lunch before traveling back home. I have spent plenty of times in the Middle East, so I wanted to eat something "exotic" instead of regular food. The food here is cooked fresh so it's a decent wait but it was well worth the wait. The food was delicious with the spices and reminded me of the authentic food I ate in the Middle East. I had the chicken biryani, and the portion was pretty big, I could not finish it. My son had the butter chicken with Garlic Naan bread and the wife had the chicken korma. All the meals were delicious and tasted authentic. It is definitly the closest thing to the real deal and this restaurant was amazing. Its family owned so it is not your typical restaurant with multiple waitress or waiters. I also had the kashmira pink tea, but it was delicious. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be the small 8oz water bottles but that's really it. I recommend this restaurant to anyone wanted to try out authentic...
Read moreFood: Food was definitely overpriced, and terrible. Paid about $100 for 2 entrees and appetizer. The lentil soup was bland, and the chicken biryani tasted like perfume and horrible; we couldn’t eat it. To make matters worse, we got sick once we got home and had to take Pepto Bismol for relief.
We’re used to Naan being served alongside the meal, but not as an entree. Here, they charge you if you order naan to go with your meal. Charging $5 for naan is ridiculous; even the naan was tasteless.
Also, you can tell that the ice cream in the freezer had been there for a long time judging by the amount of frost bite inside the freezer itself and inside the ice cream. You have to lick off chunks of ice crystals before getting to the ice cream. Gross.
Service: Despite being the only ones there, the service was slow. They didn’t serve us water until closer to serving our appetizers. Plus, they only served tiny 8oz bottles with no cup or...
