Red Robin is a regular place my family eats out at, living in tacoma we usually only visit the Puyallup, Tacoma and Lakewood locations. However, on our way back from Seattle today (on Mother's day) with family from out of town we decided to stop by the Federal Way location. Here is what went wrong: Bug in water (I get it the doors were open, could have flown in on it's way to the table, it was immediately taken away and replaced with an apology by Steph) Appetizers were brought at the same time as our food, 1 of the apps was burnt and tested horrible. Kid's meal side was forgotten. Burger had hair cooked into the meat hanging out (I was hoping it was just on top, like it would be any better?) But as I pulled on it it was def. in the meat 🤢 Took longer than average to get things, because when we asked for one thing the waitress ran off before letting us add anything (more napkins, side of ranch, drink refills, etc)
Over all the service wasn't completely terrible because I know she wasn't cooking our food and she could have been new, and maybe we missed a rush that she handled like a champ, maybe... For Mother's day it wasn't busy when we came in or when we left, multiple empty tables so they weren't swamped. When I brought the issues up to the manager-which I honestly don't usually complain at a restaurant she re-made my burger and took off $5 on both of our parties bill. But then there was #6...
Our companies change was shorted by $10, again another apology and our correct change given but come...
Read moreI placed a to go order at 815 PM was told 19 minutes. I arrived at 830 pm went to the bar and was directed to a another area for to go orders. I went and sat down and waited striking up a conversation with two other patrons sitting there. A gentleman said apparently my order was made and no one brought it out me. They are remaking mine. The lady got up and began to pace staring, " I have been here 45 min and no one has even talked to me" at 845 om I went and asked if I could speak to the manager. When she came out I asked her politely to follow me to the to go area. I than let her know what was happening with my fellow patrons. She than left and a few moments later came back with the gentleman's new food and began to ring him up. I stood up and said his food should be free. Manager looked at me and said " I don't need your help maam" gave him his food and walked out. At 855 a man came out with my other compadres food. She said I should had a discount on mine" He looked confused and left dining back 5 min later saying " Your discount was added. She leaves telling me thank you. Three other people show up and food is brought out to them. My name gets called they go over my order I state I want a discount. Lady leaves manager Jasmine comes out and says "your not getting a discount" I look at her ask her name and leave at 920. Without my food. Went to the drive three at Macdonalds with in 15 min was on my way home with food. I will not return to this place. I will make sure my boss does not use their...
Read moreThis was "my" Red Robin for the 3 years I lived in Fed Way. Used to be pretty good. I mean, nothing to write home about, but I love Red Robin, and this one was decent. I would eat their 1 or 2 times a week, usually on a regular schedule. The staff knew me by name and put my order in before I was seated.
Over the last year or so, it's changed. I still stop on once a month or so, and a few of the staff are the same, but the best ones? All gone now. The place is never clean, I often go to seat myself in the bar, and their are 4 or 5 empty tables waiting to be bused. I sit for 15 - 20 mins before anyone approaches me to ask if I want a menu. 30 mins waiting on the smallest, simplest burger they make, even when they're not busy. Often get my order wrong (just meat, cheese, bun, how hard is that?) Never refill my drink.
The worst part is the attitudes. Everyone from the hostest to the bartender to the wait staff treats me as if they're annoyed I came in. Like, ugh, now they have to wait on me. I'm the lowest maintenece customer ever. I want my water refilled once or twice if I empty it, and ask me once if I want more fries... I usually politely decline.
When they aren't completely ignoring me, they're impatient and not really listening, it seems, in a rush to get somewhere elese, even whe. I'm the only customer... small wonder this place is half empty.
I don't live nearby anymore. My new Red Robin is excellent. I'll probably stop hitting this one when I pass through town...
