ON GOOGLE: Since my review on the Summit Cove property management site for Unit 8841 was submitted for "approval" I am copying it here so others are aware not to stay in this unit or any unit at the Springs. Here is what I wrote that likely won't be "approved"
Do not stay in this unit unless you like sleeping on cheap and old mattresses. Let alone staying at any other unit on this property until the construction directly in front is completed. Truly disappointed with the property management not being transparent about the construction - the Springs did have a beautiful view of the slopes & mountain, now it's of a tarped building under construction. False Advertising. The unit location has a great balcony directly overlooking the pools/hot tub and construction! The construction starts right at 7am so depending on where your unit is located/facing you may not hear or see anything unless you’re in the pool/hot tub area. I would not stay in this until new mattresses are replaced. I can deal with an outdated kitchen & bathroom so long as they do the job, but sleeping in a bed where you can feel the springs from the mattress was super uncomfortable & disappointing. The queen bed was uncomfortable to my husband & I, but the pull out couch was laughable and luckily our 40 lb son didn’t notice, but any small adult could not bear to sleep on this thing - you are better off sleeping directly on the floor. The overall condo common spaces & hallways need a major remodel - carpet, furniture and gym is super outdated. It was constantly being cleaned by the cleaning folks, but they can’t make stained, torn carpet look better.
Location will be great once construction is completed, but there will never be a view of the slopes as is currently advertised...
Read moreCommon spaces are clean & comfortable but looking somewhat dated and worn. Loved the available play space for littles in the common area! There's construction going on directly outside so the shortest path to the village and gondola is closed currently and you have to walk around the construction. Too, there was construction noise as early as 5&6 am a few mornings of our stay. Had a hard time controlling the temperature in our condo. It was consistently hot and we kept windows cracked but then the construction noise was louder... Kids needed to sleep on pull-out couch, that was our plan, but there weren't correct sheets provided. When requested, still didn't receive correct size. Our unit also advertised washer/dryer access ensuite and it was locked. When we inquired about it, we were told property management would reach out to the owners. We never received a response or access. We were traveling with 4 kids, one an infant, and packed according to having a washer/dryer in our unit. We know our limitations! We were able to do laundry in the common laundry area but that's not what we signed up for and it was an additional hurdle...
Read moreCheck in and check out was easy. The room was dated and furniture was well used. In addition we had several problems in the room. There were no linens for the sofa bed, the deadbolt was broken, the heater was either full blast or off, and the smoke alarm started beeping in the middle of the night. Maintenance came while we were out and left a note to turn the heater all the way up and then adjust it down. It still didn't work and we could never find a comfortable temperature. We were told to pull the battery, unplug it from the ceiling, wrap it in a towel, and put it in a drawer to fix the smoke detector. Pretty sure that is a fire code violation. One nice thing was the...
