We had one of the worst dining experiences every at this place. Arrived at 8, the place was largely empty. Found ourselves an empty (clean) table per their sign to seat yourself. No wait staff approached. After about 20 minutes someone started bussing a table a few away from where we were sitting and looked over and said Oh, finally acknowledging our presence and asked for our drink orders. She did not state her name so I can not tell you what it was. My son asked what the base cost was on a plain cheese pie as it is NOT on the menu.Apparently it is the same as their specialty cheese pie (add extra per topping). We ordered a 10 in pie and two 14 in pies plus a dessert. Was told that she would put the dessert order in once the pizzas arrived. Sat and waited for our food. The Cannoli (dessert) arrived first ( a good 15 to 20 min later)and not to go as requested. About 10 min later 2 of the pies arrived. The girl could not tell the difference between a cheese pie and one with extras. Obviously didn't know the order. We over heard the wait staff talking about a burnt meatball pie. We continued to wait, with my two kids sharing what was delivered while waiting for our meatball pie. Eventually I got the attention of the waitress and asked her to please check on our missing pie. It showed up finally but the parm cheese on top was slabs of solid cold cheese. The waitress turned off the 'open' sign. This made my child very anxious and so she couldn't eat the pizza she had been waiting for. My other child went over to the side table and got to go boxes and we packed it all up to leave. We had already boxed the food and bused the table before the girl thought to ask if we might want the ticket. We were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks or if we needed anything else. When I said something to her about the late pizza she had to go searching for and the burnt one she stated that it was (now) 915 and the kitchen staff were closing up. When I explained that we had arrived at 8 not 915 she just told me the amount of the bill. I spent over 65 for pizza that was mediocre at best with service that was deplorable. I will never go...
Read moreAmazing, greasy, stick-to-your-stomach food, and a good beer menu. Service was meh, and plating was bad for our appetizer.
My server got their job done, but I could tell they didn't want to be there anymore. Rational to feel that way, but it has an effect on the people you serve. The presentation of my appetizer (beer cheese with pretzel bites) made me regret ordering it at first. They came in a lame plastic basket & plastic ramicans with paper plates & plasticware. Our entrées came on some dope metal plates though. But about this food,,,
HOLLY %@#?, the pretzel bites themselves had a perfectly crisp crust and soft, soft, soft crumb (best pretzels I have ever had). Then, THEN the beer cheese,,, neither the beer taste nor cheese taste were overpowering. If you like a balanced beer cheese, this one is for you (Props to my server; I asked them to choose between these and the tots, and this was their choice). Finally my entrée. I ordered the pepperoni & cheese LHP, add black olives, lite jalapeños, lite banana peppers, and ranch OTS. I believe the following was a kitchen error. I had seemingly extra jalapeños and very little olives. Still tasted great, but not quite what I wanted :/
Sharing the pretzels and having the LHP to myself left me full. My friends filled up on the shared pretzels, ½ a 10" za, & ½ a LHP for one; ½ a 10" za for the other. Keep in mind this was the first meal of the day for us at 8 pm.
So if you're in the mood for some delicious greasy food that will hit the spot, go by Long Hollow Pizza & Pub. They aren't perfect, but their food might be... 4.5 ⭐️ in my heart 🤙
Note: today my friend found some hair in his...
Read morePassed through Nashville on our way back home to Pittsburgh after vacationing south, we stayed at Candlewood Suites. Looking for a place to grab a bite after a long drive, we read the reviews and settled in on Long Hollow-what a gem as we would come to find out.
Being from Pittsburgh, pizza is a staple in the city so it is hard to find a good place that isn't repetitive or doing the same thing. After ordering we enjoyed the food at our hotel, we were "wowed" by the exceptional quality products and premium ingredients. The cheese sticks were authentic covered in hot, melty cheese, the Nashville Hot pocket (we call calzones in Pittsburgh) was awesome, even had some left over. Of course, the pizza and wings didn't disappoint either. Upon walking in to pick up the order I was greeted by Rachel, who was extremely eager to serve and so kind and courteous. She even went the extra mile to open all the food box items to review the order and then asked if we needed utensils since staying at a hotel-awesome! She was great, thank you Rachel!
I highly recommend this pizza pub! Coming from a city that was built on and by family/local small businesses in Pittsburgh, we were so happy and proud to have supported this local establishment that lived up to the reviews and will continue to be successful in the Nashville area for years to come! Great food, great service, great success. Thank you, Long...
