So my family and I have been eating at another Mexican restaurant for over a year now. Every Friday sometimes another random day in the week when once just won't cut it lol but yesterday we were very disappointed when told I wasn't allowed to order what I order every week so I just politely left and set out on a search for a different place. That's where Plaza comes into play. So first off you can order online! Man what a wonderful thing that is. Because my brain doesn't work as fast as my mouth and sometimes I'm a bit confusing so being able to skip the confusing part and just type exactly what I want works wonderful especially with a screaming kid in the back lol so I was able to select 2 meats for our tacos which was awesome considering that was the reason I left the other place because they said we couldn't have 2 meats in our tacos even though we've done it for over a year. However on the chimichanga I wasn't able to pick the correct meat I wanted on it so I just typed in the notes I wanted steak and chorizo instead of ground beef in it and said I expected an upcharge upon arrival even though I paid online. So I get there to pick up our dinner and ask about the upcharge and they said there is no upcharge this time but that they were updating the online ordering system at that very moment so next time I will just be able to select it like I did on the tacos!!! You guys! Never in my life have i felt so important. This woman doesnt know me I'm not a regular here but she went above and beyond for my family and I and that right there told me I found our new mexican spot. I hadn't even tried the food yet and told my husband even if you don't like it we will try everything until we find something we like bc we will never go to a different place. FYI we didn't have to find something else we liked bc our food was absolutely amazing!!! But that right there people is customer service and I am so happy we found somewhere that goes above and beyond for people they just met. Read moreOkay first off I hate leaving negative reviews. And I understand that every restaurant has its night. But Last night was extremely bad. It was just me, my father and my daughter (2yr old).
as soon as we came into the restaurant there were plenty of tables and we were able to sit down immediately. We requested a high chair, and after my dad stood there for over 3 minutes holding my daughter, I finally went after the lady to see about the high chair. She very rudely said I'm going to get it after this. She was closing a bill. So I went and got the highchair myself. When I did this, I realized that the high chair was in the direct path that she took to go close a bill for someone. So not only could have she grabbed it on her way, she could have also not responded so rudely. Well the salsa came out, but then that chips came out another 5 minutes later. And halfway through our meal we never got any refills to the point that I finally got up and went to the kitchen myself to get refills. This is the first time ever.... I always leave a tip, even with bad service, but I left no tip because there was really no service. I'm the type of person to leave 20% or more with great service. The restaurant was not completely full for a Friday night, and there were plenty of staff. When I went to go get my refill on my own, the lady that was rude to me laughed along with other co-workers. Read moreUpon arrival, the staff was courteous and attentive. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The food was good; however, the portion size looked like it was for people with anorexia. Not worth the price for the portion. There was a very thin line of beans on the plate. The frozen strawberry margarita was very delicious. It was definitely worth its price and it was reasonable. They were not shy with their alcohol either. Now we just got to get them to add more to the dinner plate. However, my wife had the fajitas and it was good and well portioned out for its price. At the end we go to pay for our bill and their credit card machine goes down. We waited in the lobby for an extra 15 minutes while they tried to get it back online. They were apologetic with I for the situation. We understood and patiently waited. After 15 minutes in lobby with no end in sight. I had to drive to my bank to get some cash to pay for the bill while my wife waited at the restaurant. I returned and paid for the bill. You would think that there should’ve been some kind of compensation for the situation. Even after we waited for a good period of time afterwards. A percentage off or something. Inconvenience for sure. Hope they get their stuff...
