Do NOT take your dog here to be groomed if you have specific requests besides shaving them down.
I am currently deployed and have family members taking care of my pup. The only close place for them to get him groomed is UNFORTUNATELY this PetsMart. They have now been asked to never return for grooming needs and he will wait for more in depth grooming (besides a bath and brushing) until I return. Granted, with how SHORT and terribly they cut him he won't need it until I come home and have been home for months. Not only did they cut his hair entirely too short they completely IGNORED the specific request to NOT cut his mane...EVER!!!! I received a photo of my dog with barely any hair and NO mane. THEY CUT OFF MY DOG'S MANE!!!! The whole thing. There are patches in the little fur he has left on his body, his tail is uneven, his ears were cut entirely too short. He doesn't even look like a retriever anymore.
Before this incident, yes there is a before, he came back from here with a giant cut in his neck. My family member WAS NOT told that he had been injured during the grooming process and my pup was sent home with a giant hole in his neck. Why should people trust this place with their loved animals?? Blood, scabbing, scarring, blatant disregard for the wants of the owner, completely ignorant to breed specific grooming, and no care in the world.
I am literally thousands of miles away from my dog and family right now due to work. As petty as it sounds, to have my dog defaced like that is extremely upsetting. The cut on his neck took a month to heal because of how deep and big around it was. His mane will never look the same again and take years to grow back. It has been proven twice now that the Greenfield PetsMart doesn't take the upmost care of the animals they are entrusted with for only a couple of hours. With how patchy his haircut was this time it makes me wonder how rough she was with him to cause so many uneven patches in the fur? How much of a rush was this groomer in to get his session done that she just took clippers to his whole body because it was more convenient for her rather than taking specific requests into consideration?
If there is another pet store to get your pet's needs I would highly...

Update Review on Grooming Services: I called to get my mixed large breed dog in for shampoo, de-shedding, and nails clipped. This is exactly what I asked for on the phone when scheduling. I wanted a price quote first. The lady said $22, then changed it to $25, then the last quote before getting off the phone was $35. I made the appointment and was told to bring rabies tag which I did. I get to the appointment and she had issues with rabies tag not having expiration date. Was never told to be sure date on there prior to appointment. So I log on my email to find vet receipt with rabies shot. The dog is 8 months old. Shot was given couple months ago. Rabies are either good for 1 or 3 years depending what type they got. With tag and receipt she was still giving me a hard time. I said he got the one year vaccine and itâs valid one year date from the receipt cause the receipt shows the day he got it. This whole time Iâm looking for receipt through emails while holding a large hyper pup which no offer to hold him while I look. She acted like she was trying everything to keep from having to do the appointment. The computer had him down for wrong type of appointment. They didnât add the de-shedding. Which I had told lady on phone multiple times as well as confirming what they are to do in person. All said and done the $35 bill turns to $62. I asked about the price nope nothing they want to fix. Dog comes home doesnât even smell like soap. Smells like wet dog. Poor grooming service. Dishonest, didnât want to do the appointment, no customer service and the dog should smell like soap after $62! Never again! I was planning to tip big the groomer for the service considering large hyper pup but not after what I went through. Cashier new super nice felt bad for me and recommended another grooming place. Itâs not the cashiers fault and she did what she could. I just definitely would never use the grooming service there or recommend it. I did let the groomers know the...
