Worst hotel ever. HIDDEN FEES, FAKING PARKING INFO, SLOW WIFI, TOO NOISE, HOMELESS
MORE DETAILS: Upon your arrival, they will Aloha you with additional hidden fees around 600$. No matter that you already paid all upon booking, they will ask for "mandatory amenities". If you try to get a bill for what are those amenities, no way, it is not possible. They will find a bunch of excuses why they are unable to give you at that moment. They will keep lie and lie. It was very funny to hear all those lies. One of the workers said that those mandatory amenities are stuff like WiFi, pool, usage of elevator....really??,
The most interesting thing is faking parking info. Even if they said "free parking", they don't say that they have around 110 rooms and just 35 parking spaces (they have marked about 45, but more than 10, occupied by their employees). Parking is on base first-in, first served. When it is full, they put cone with info that the parking lot is full. All sounds fine, except the parking lot is not full... They lazy stuff from night shift, asap as he shows up on job, immediately put cone on front...so you are forced to search parking around, what is nightmare...I had some great experience when I return from job at 2AM - searching parking for 45min, park couple blocks from hotel (because all parking lots are overbooked), and that parking is on street - you need to start paying from 6am.....so, go to hotel at 3am, sleep 3h, wake up and go to pay for parking or move car in their parking garage, that was mysteriously half empty at 6am.... disaster
If you need to use WiFi, be ready to experience the dialup era of the internet. It is super super slow. It is impossible to imagine that anyone still has that slow internet....and most interesting, they charge you for that additionally, and it is mandatory.....
There are a bunch of homeless people sleeping in the front and around of the hotel. There is police activity every couple of hours.
And most importantly, it is super loud... there are two bars just in front of the hotel, the music is super loud, screaming, noise.....
For someone who sleeps over day, who comes with no car or anything, and just needs bad to sleep with nothing else, this hotel is perfect. Otherwise, it is completely disaster. Those positive reviews are probably spam or from employees (or some people who have never been in any hotel before).
Here are a couple of photos of "parking lot full" at 2am,...

I stayed here for a week in August 2021, when there were still some pandemic restrictions ( although it has been more relaxed compared to earlier in the same year).
Location: This hotel is located in Waikiki, the heart of tourism in Honolulu. This hotel is near many popular places - including Maguro Brothers (sashimi & poke), Marugame Udon, Kona Coffee Purveyors, Basalt (get the charcoal buttermilk pancakes!), Heavenly Island Lifestyle, International Market Place, etc. It takes around 10 minutes to walk to Waikiki Beach.
The only con is that there is a small tattoo parlor and bar on Nohonani St., which I did feel a bit hesitant to walk past at night.
Price: For the area, this hotel is a good option for budget-friendly travelers who don’t want to shell out a few hundred dollars a day on a beach-front hotel.
Please note that there was a $27.45/night resort fee.
Service: The staff at the hotel is amazing! I have stayed at nicer hotels, but some haven’t even come as close to the service here.
Cleanliness: Housekeeping services were provided every day without any prior request. I was immensely surprised at how clean it was considering the limited time they had during the day.
Rooms: When I stayed, the room was clean, albeit a bit outdated, but it looks like based on the recent reviews, they have done some remodeling. The beds were large and comfortable to sleep in. Compared to other hotels I was searching in the same area, this hotel has a kitchenette ( including a fridge, microwave, sink, coffee machine, and burners). They had more kitchen utensils in stock than I expected. However one morning, I smelled and heard a nearby occupant making breakfast.
My room has a balcony with a view of the city, but I rarely go there because the furniture isn’t that pleasant to see. If you’re lucky/paid more, you can get great views of the mountains.
Parking: There is limited free parking. The staff will provide a parking pass to hang in your car throughout your stay. As long as you come back and park around 5:00 P.M., you should be able to find a parking spot. If you arrive later, you will need to pay for parking nearby. I would recommend renting a compact car because the parking spaces were a tad narrow.
All in all, I would come back here again if I ever...
Read moreOur family really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are really spacious. We stayed in the two bedroom and also had a chance to stay in the penthouse. The two bedrooms were a nice size with a decent living room that also had a murphy bed. This room would comfortably sleep 6. It was really nice having a kitchen with a decent size fridge. The penthouse has just been remodeled and is very roomy for a family. The kitchen had all new glass top range, full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and toaster. The dining area was roomy enough to seat 6-8 at the table. The living room has a very nice sectional sofa that also pulls out to a bed. There is a bedroom with a king size that is behind sliding doors that can be opened up to make the living area truly spacious. A second bedroom has two twins, at the opposite end of the unit is an open room with a king and a queen beds. That end of the unit also has a sink and full size fridge. There are two full baths with jetted tubs. In the main hall of the penthouse there is a stacked washer and dryer (key for families). We stayed here with our 7 kids (18-4yrs) and never felt cramped. There is also a large sundeck on this level for the penthouse. The penthouse offers an enjoyable peekaboo view of the ocean and sunsets and a great opportunity to see the nightlife and city lights. The hotel itself is located less than a block from the International Marketplace and immediately accessible to shopping and so many restaurants and bars. A walk to the beach is less than 10 minutes away. It is an older property, but they are remodeling and the new rooms are very nice. The pool area is small, and during the pandemic they require reservations that are made with the front desk for one hour blocks. There was never really an issue making reservations for a time to use the pool. It seemed to be open quite a bit. The parking stalls are a bit tight but manageable. It was very nice to have parking on property. Lastly, the staff was really nice. They were very personable and friendly. We really felt that they always tried to take great care of us. They were always eager to help resolve any issue and try to provide what we needed. Overall I think this hotel is a great value. The renovated rooms are nice, the location is convenient, and the staff really makes for an...
