We were craving Mexican food. Had been in Hawaii for 6 days and just wanted some good ole chips n salsa, some queso and a good ole taco. So we googled Mexican restaurants near the Sheraton Waikiki. This was the closest one within walking distance. Took a bit to find because it is very small. We noticed the 2 picnic tables out front and that's how we found it. It's dark in there. The older gentleman working never said a word. The young lady at the register who did take our order did not seem to thrilled to be at work. She didn't speak much. Maybe she's just shy 🤷‍♀️. She was quick to let us know they were out of salsa!! What? Your listed as a Mexican food restaurant and your out of SALSA!?!? That was hard to swallow. But what was harder to swallow was the guacamole. It was not right. It had a sour taste to it. Unfortunately I had them add guacamole to my chicken nachos and they put it right smack on top. I would give the chicken nachos an 8.5 out of 10 but the guacamole brought it down to a 5 (only because I could eat around some of the guacamole). Hopefully that was just a bad batch and they taste test it in the future before serving it to any customers. My friend ordered the chicken quesadillas and those were pretty damn good. They score a 9 maybe even a 9.5 for sure. The portions for both our orders were big. Either the nachos or the quesadillas could be shared between 2 people easily. The food was good. Not the guacamole! Need to work on having plenty of salsa if their going to serve Mexican food. Maybe train their employees to talk a little more to the customers. Help the customers with the menu. Greet them with a simple hello when they walk in. If your in the area try their chicken quesadillas. There's no inside seating. Just 2 picnic...
