TLDR: requested a small, simple tropical bouquet for elopement photoshoot & received a large funeral-type arrangement in the wrong color. Florist ignored texts & phone calls until I left, making me late for my photoshoot.
This place had great reviews so I called on Monday for a simple, tropical bouquet in mostly white with peach/orange, to be picked up the next day for an impromptu photoshoot to celebrate our elopement. The florist asked for pictures of what I wanted, and after I sent them, she excitedly said could do something close to that. I paid $200 for this bouquet! The next day, she texted me and said she would do her best. I was fine with that. So I get there to pick up the bouquet, and it is nothing close to what I asked for. It's huge, no tropical flowers. It has no peach or orange, but it does have purple?? It looked like a funeral arrangement. Who died? Normally, I would've just accepted it and left, but I paid too much for this bouquet for it to be the wrong color, size, and type. I texted her and said I'm sorry, but I couldn't accept the arrangement. No response. I had a photo shoot an hour away in less than 3 hours that I still needed to do my hair and makeup for, so I texted her 5 more times and called her 3 times. No answer. I know she was there, too, because she told me she would be there until 2:20 & it wasn't even 2:00 yet. I finally left because I couldn't afford to waste any more time, and she calls me 5 minutes after I leave saying she told me she couldn't get tropicals on that short notice (she didn't). I didn't want to argue because it was over at that point.
She did refund me, but she wasted my time & made me 45 minutes late for my photoshoot as I had to stop at a grocery store and put together a bouquet with my photographer with some wild foliage (which came out nice, all things considered, & had the tropicals I wanted!). As a result, we got rained on before we could finish the photos & I had to finish the shoot 2 days later. Had she just told me she couldn't do that, I would've requested something else. She had peach / orange flowers in the refrigerator next to mine that I would've been fine swapping out with if she had answered the phone & not ignored me for nearly half an hour.
Edited to say - look at this woman lol she is still lowkey arguing below about my expectations, even though I didn't expect this EXACT bouquet & would've been fine with the correct colors at least, which she had! No apologies for ruining my photo shoot lol & please be for real - She said her phone was underneath a folder when she called me back, never said she was driving. Don't give me advice on what to do with a florist because I've never had an issue before. Here's some advice for you, though: communicate with your customers better & don't accept orders...
Read moreMy husband ordered me a bouquet of flowers for Valentine’s Day, specifically the “Heavenly Lily Rose Arrangement.” He ordered this specifically because Lilies are my favorite flowers. When the arrangement arrived, there wasn’t a single lily at all, Simply red and purple roses. When we called to inquire we were given the excuse that their original lilies were delayed and the new ones didn’t open in time. We were told that they have a substitution policy regarding their arrangements, which I understand, but to substitute the flower that the entire arrangement is named after makes no sense to me. She said, “well, we gave you more roses.” If we wanted more roses, we would have just ordered a bouquet of roses.
This was all after they already hiked the price of their flowers because of the holiday. Fine, I get that too. Most florists do (see pictures of what we ordered and the cost of the same bouquet for a date in May). However, they also came back and asked for more money AFTER we had ordered the bouquet. You have to put your address in and it calculates a delivery fee based on your location. It charged us $50 to deliver to Schofield. A few days later, they emailed my husband and said they wanted an additional $20 to deliver to Schofield. My husband said fine.
Their resolution to this flower disaster is that they refund us $20, you mean the $20 you already tacked on that you shouldn’t have?
We wanted to support a small, local florist, but we won’t be making that mistake again. Obscenely...
Read moreI brought my boyfriend to Honolulu for his 51st birthday. It was his 1st time there so he really wanted to get "leied". I called the Honolulu Flower Lady from my home in cold Idaho and her voice on the phone was warm with Aloha. She "leied" out the options on the phone and I made my selection with a back up plan in case the plumeria were sold out. I was assured the Lei would be delivered and easily paid over the phone. The day we were to arrive, flower lady texted me that they were out of both of my selections but were getting restocked at 7 pm and wondered if that would work with my time frame but offered another option at no additional charge in case not. I told her that would be fine as we wouldn't arrive at our hotel until 9 pm. At 8:50 she texted me that she was on her way. We were able to meet her in the lobby and receive the Lei in person. She even worked after hours in order to deliver. My boyfriend was really touched and the Lei was beautiful and fragrant. The Honolulu Flower Lady had incredible communication and customer service. She helped make my boyfriend's birthday...
