Luxury Row — Local services in Honolulu

An amazingly vast number of shops, with couture designers' flagship stores as well as your local ABC Stores BUT again, just SOOOOO incredibly crowded. It's a really nice outdoor walk along the strip, which is very clean, large sidewalks, and fairly friendly people/tourists, but would hope for better restaurants, I think they're lacking the number of restaurants needed to service all of us...

Who doesnt love the Luxury Row on Kalakua Ave? All the high end stores r here w/their beautiful window displays and over priced merchandise. Of course, most shoppers r Asians, regular tourists only enjoy looking rather than paying those crazy prices for a handbag or a pair of shoes. Very nice, modern section of the city with all the best luxury brands here. One very interesting thing I found out is that Hawaii has some of the cheapest luxury prices in the US / Canada. Many of them are 20% off. This might change in the future if the US dollar gets weaker compared to Asian currencies. But as long as it stays stronger you can expect a discount at...
