I recently had the pleasure of dining at Texas Roadhouse, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The steakhouse proved itself worthy with its mouthwatering menu and attentive service. Allow me to highlight the standout items that left me satisfied, as well as provide some constructive feedback regarding a couple of disappointing dishes.
Let's start with the positives! The Sirloin and Filet steaks at Texas Roadhouse were absolute showstoppers. Cooked to perfection, these cuts of meat were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. I truly appreciated the high-quality beef and the skillful preparation by the culinary team. The chefs at Texas Roadhouse definitely know their way around a grill!
Another standout item was the sweet potato. It was a glorious balance of sweet and savory, with a perfectly baked exterior and a deliciously soft, caramelized center. This dish perfectly complemented the richness of the steaks and added a unique twist to the overall dining experience.
Moving on to the salads - they were definitely not overlooked at Texas Roadhouse. The freshness and crispness of the greens, coupled with the variety of toppings and dressings, made for a refreshing and delightful accompaniment to the main course. The salads were a pleasant surprise and a true testament to the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal.
Now, as for the weaker aspects of my experience, I have mixed feelings about the French fries. Unfortunately, they arrived at our table quite soggy, as if they had been boiled rather than properly fried. This was a bit of a letdown, as I had high expectations for the sides at Texas Roadhouse. I do hope that the kitchen can address this issue in the future to maintain consistency across all aspects of the meal.
Additionally, I ordered the kids' steak bites, and while they were flavorful, they were disappointingly chewy. The texture reminded me more of rubber than the tender meat I was hoping for. As a family-friendly restaurant, I believe Texas Roadhouse should pay more attention to the quality and tenderness of these smaller portions to ensure a pleasurable dining experience for the younger guests as well.
Despite these minor setbacks, Texas Roadhouse remains a reliable choice for a great steakhouse experience. With their top-notch Sirloin and Filet steaks, mouthwatering sweet potatoes, and refreshing salads, the flavors and attention to detail showcased are truly commendable. If the kitchen can work on improving the consistency of their French fries and the tenderness of the kids' steak bites, I have no doubt that Texas Roadhouse will continue to be a top favorite among steak lovers.
I highly recommend visiting Texas Roadhouse for a hearty and satisfying meal, and I look forward to my next dining experience at...
Read moreThe wife and I went out on a date, Sunday night, which we don't due often because of having to find a babysitter for our two children. We got ourselves on the waitlist and let the front staff know we were there and they asked if a booth in the bar would be acceptable, we said yes, and we proceeded to wait. We hear someone say "The bar party of two" but I didn't hear it clearly since it was busy. I thought maybe they said someone's name or last name since that is standard of how they call out parties not "the bar" or "the dining room" or "a booth". My wife swore she heard bar, we ignore it because we didn't want to be Karens and I said "no way they said The Bar because that doesn't make sense since anyone could just say that's their turn in the wait line". After about 30 min I ask if they call the seating by name and an employee said yes (we saw another couple that came in after us get seated in a booth at the bar). After about 40 minutes total my wife asks the same employee if we were on the waitlist turns out we weren't and she saw her put us on the waitlist again and the wait was going to be another 20-40 minutes after we have already been on the waitlist and been waiting for 40 minutes. So we have been waiting in their lobby for 30 minutes for no reason. I approached a lady at the counter in a gray polo and asl her, " you guys don't call out people on the waitlist by the area they are seating right?" she clarifies they don't. I tell her they did and they gave our seating to someone else and show her the two confirmation texts on my phone that I just got put on the waitlist again after being there for over 40 minutes. It's sad that she didn't own up to giving our spot and seats away, that they called out "the bar party of two" instead of our names (no restaurant does this do to anyone being able to claim they were the party), and all I got from them was they don't know how that happened and denial that they called out the seating area and not the person who made the reservation on the waitlist. It ruined my date night with my...
Read moreWe visited here tonight. We were meeting my son and his girlfriend and her son, plus my dad, making it a party of 6. Upon arrival my son was waiting in the parking lot, so we went inside to see about getting a table. I then called my son who was walking into the restaurant right then. We advised the greeters we were a party of 6, and one of them asked where are the others? I said, on their way inside. She said, okay, and asked for our number. My husband gave them his as I made my way back out, because there was such a huge crowd milling (which is usual there) just inside the door we all just went to sit on the patio porch thing. I went back inside for peanuts and went back out and we visited on the patio. After waiting 35 minutes (our text message stated 10-15 min) we went back inside and we were told we'd not been seated because "all the members of our party were not present". I was incredulous. I told them we had ALL SIX been sitting out there for 35 minutes waiting the entire time, and I reiterated that I'd already informed them my son and his girlfriend and her son had been literally walking in as we asked them for a table. Plus, at any time one of them could have checked on us outside, or here's a thought, someone could have SAID we'd not be given a table until all of us had appeared before their desk inside (adding to the crowd inside) like disorderly schoolchildren, to be counted. Texas Roadhouse has lost our business; had it not been something of a special evening (son's gf had been promoted) we'd have just left without eating. They did comp some appetizers because I was furious about sitting out there with my dad (who has a bad back). But they should have simply told us of their new rule with seating instead of treating us like we were trying to pull a fast...
