Returning to this Key West haven has become an annual tradition we eagerly anticipate. The moment we step into this charming retreat, it feels like coming home. The picturesque setting, nestled amidst the vibrant beauty of Key West, immediately washes away the stresses of everyday life. The rooms, elegantly appointed and always pristine, offer a serene sanctuary. The staff's warmth and attentiveness make each stay feel personalized and special. The amenities, from the inviting pool to the delightful dining options, ensure there's never a dull moment. Undoubtedly, this hotel captures the essence of Key West's allure, making each visit an unforgettable experience. Already counting down the days until next year's return!

I didn’t stay at your hotel, but I did go to the public beach where you rented out the chairs. I paid my $10… scratch that, $20 since I got 2 and assumed it included 2 towels – they were just sitting there for the taking. The guy I paid approached us, stating we weren’t guests and the towels were reserved for guests only, promptly snatching them away. Five minutes later, he returned them, explaining they had to be put in the dirty pile, so we might as well use them. I would have gladly paid $5 to use a towel. Perhaps consider offering that option instead of taking them away altogether.

This is part of the southernmost resort hotel. The room was ok. We thought the room was overpriced. Walls are thin. You had to make sure the door closed or it would not. Service was quick when we had a need. We would stay at the resort again, just not this room.

The La Mer & Dewey houses are completely phenomenal! I recently stayed with my husband for our wedding and honeymoon. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for our special trip including checking in on us several times throughout the day of the wedding! Our wedding was offsite, so really was going the extra mile! They provided extra amenities where they could such as giving us breakfast to go when leaving for a snorkel trip and champagne to celebrate the occasion. The innkeepers were very knowledgeable of the area and welcoming, always available when needed. We left giving them hugs so appreciative of everything! The beds are large and comfortable. Rooms are very clean, great decor, and excellent views, whether it be the ocean or the gardens! The housekeeping staff was excellent tidying up the room daily. Breakfast and afternoon snacks were served daily on the oceanfront patio. Very well prepared and a lot to choose from. Extra things such as having cold infused water available all day and a facet to wash your feet as soon as leaving the beach are great examples of the extras touches to be enjoyed here! The houses were very private and quiet, requiring the use of keys to enter the grounds of the house. We very much appreciated this extra step of preventing outside traffic! The beach was only steps away from the houses, including chair, table, umbrella, and towel service. The staff here were also great, setting you up in the spot you requested. The beach cafe is also right on the beach including a walk up bar and ability to order food to eat on the beach versus inside. This was a huge convienance during the trip! The only draw back for us was the price however we decided to splurge due to the nature of the trip. We left saying it was worth every penny and wished we would have stayed longer! Seriously cannot say enough good things! We...

This hotel is actually comprised of two houses right next to each other. They are located on the southern shore of the island within a 3 minute walk to the southernmost point of the US. Because these houses are owned by the Southernmost Resort company, you also have access to two adjacent hotels and their amenities. A spa, sauna, exercise room, restaurant, and pristine beach are all on site. The beach is not very large, but this makes it feel more private (although it is technically a public beach). The hotel grounds are immaculate and beautiful with panoramic views of the ocean and the gardens.

We stayed in the Dewey House (room 407). The room was quite large with an ample bathroom, kitchenette area, dining area, and bedroom. This particular room did not have views of anything exciting, but we spent most of our time touring the nearby attractions including Duval street (which actually deadends at the Dewey House) and the beach. The room and house were very clean, modern, and well-appointed. The staff was friendly and even provided a tour of the facilities upon arrival.

Bottom line: This is an amazing location and a great hotel. The next time we visit Key West, we will...

We stayed at the Dewey House at the Southern Most Beach Resort in May 2024. It is a nice B&B style house that is part of the Southernmost Beach Resort campus in Key West, Florida on the south end of Duval Street. It does feature a small plot of ocean however disappointing that such a small beach could be so dirty with organic debris. For the amount of money the resort charges, they owe it to their guests to keep those 200 yards of beach clean. We did not use the beach because of smell of rotting kelp in the 90-degree heat. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the rooms are clean and quiet. The complimentary breakfast was fine. Fresh fruit and pastries are set out and they offer a chef to prepare eggs. The ocean view room we had did offer a view of the ocean that included a balcony with two chairs. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to stay not too far from the action, and can afford their rates, then I recommend the Dewey House. If you are looking for expansive ocean views and a large CLEAN beach area, you may want to...
