Saying this is the worst experience I have had with a vacation rental would be insulting to any other property groups simply by uttering their names in the same breath as Seaside Place. This review relates to my experience with the operating company and not the physical property itself.

Seaside Place has $7,418.75 of mine and as of today (1) refused to refund it, (2) ignored repeated requests to re-book my contracted (and paid for) stay, and now (3) does not answer emails, phone calls, or text messages (Unethical - check). I may disagree that Seaside Place decided to keep my money when Key West shut down for COVID-19 instead of refunding my money but that isn't what this review is about. I have been driven to public venting by the SEVEN unanswered emails, THREE ignored voicemail messages, and TWO text messages requesting to re-book my reservation I have already paid for. The last email correspondence they engaged in related to a negative review someone in my party posted online, suggesting the only way to secure the dates requested was by deleting the review (love a good quid pro quo). I would say this not satisfies my immoral claim as well.

At this point, I have attempted to engage the property manager Abbey Weis and the owners Craig Fazio and Joyce Moore (listed as owning Seaside Place LLC) to no avail. From my experience (only a taste of which is outlined above), I recommend not doing business with this company or redlining the rental agreement prior to doing so. We actually had a lovely stay until the last day. We checked out by 11 on our final day and left our bags in their storage for guest bags, explicitly provided for this purpose. My wife texted her at 9am to let her know we had checked out, and had left bags which we'd be back to get by 3 pm, and went about exploring Key West for one last time. Over 2 hours later, at this point obviously after check out time, and of course after we'd already left, she texted my wife that we needed to immediately move our bags, as they had incoming guests. We were at lunch. Food was on its way. My wife tried to work out some compromise over text message with Abbey where our bags were moved into the house while the maids cleaned. She claimed that covid somehow precluded the possibility of our bags being in the house while the maids cleaned. My wife tried call to work something out She ignored my wife's call. Then I called, and apparently since she didn't recognize my number, she answered. I said we were far away and trying to enjoy our last day, and she was unbelievably unprofessional and rude to me. In one bout of incompetence and laziness, she ruined our trip. She has no business in the hospitality industry. This was my second time staying here. If you have a celebration, family vacation, a customer or client to send, this is the place. We celebrated a birthday here and it was as perfect as I remember. I refuse to go to Key West and not stay here.

House is awesome. Rooms are awesome. Pool is awesome. The porch is awesome. Rooms are awesome. The laundry room is awesome. Scooter rentals, etc. are next door, convenience store two doors down. Great people watching from the front porch. Far enough away but definitely close enough.

The house is immaculate, charming and up to date. The pictures on the wall add to it. Everything you need you will have. Full kitchen, utensils, everything. TV's, microwave, outdoor cooler. Soothing pool fountain into a wonderful and intimate pool.

When you book the reservation, Abbey enters the picture. Trust me when I tell you, you will not be disappointed. Above and beyond is an understatement. From recommendations to suggestions, she made our trip whole. We didn't have a bad meal or excursion there. If you want a seamless and enjoyable trip, check this place out. Your friends/family will thank you.
