Stopped in for a late lunch/snack with a friend. It was just a little after 5 PM. We were told that there would be a 12 min wait on chicken legs and an 8 min wait on chicken wings unless we wanted spicy chicken. So I attempted to order chicken tenders. Now I'm told that they don't have chicken tenders because they are frozen. Really? Are they not prepared from frozen? So why are they not prepared for dinner at 5:15 by having thawed out tenders ahead of time? This made no sense. But nonetheless I ordered a 2 PC all white meat combo instead. There was still a wait on the chicken which was no big deal. At least it would be hot and fresh. But to make matters worse, they have no lids for medium drinks. Ok. Well...... But now, they are also out of napkins. Really? So they offered nothing as for napkins. Nothing. How can you serve fried chicken and not have napkins? So why would the manager not go get napkins? I mean seriously, napkins from Walmart or cash & carry would have worked. Hell, a roll of paper towels on the counter would have been better than not offering anything to wipe your hands on. I'm quiet sure Popeye's corporate would rather them use basic paper towels purchased elsewhere than to not offer napkins at all. I can overlook a lot of things when dining out as I understand, it's not a perfect world. But to not have basic napkins for customers dining in at a restaurant serving fried chicken is not one of them. This is completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be dining in this restaurant again. Not the way to run a...
Read moreSo when I go to Popeyes I always get the chicken sandwich meal… the last 5 or more times we’ve been to this location their out of chicken sandwiches? How does a chicken place run out of chicken let alone that often?! Anyways we go to put in a mobile order today for a large chicken sandwich combo with coleslaw and mash potatoes and gravy with lemonade and a 5 piece tender with the same sides with hi-ci fruit punch… he gets there and they tell him once again they don’t have any chicken sandwiches and there out of coleslaw so he parks and call me and I tell him I wanted Mack n cheese and tenders instead he gets inside and tries to change it out there response was “oh yeah we don’t have Mac n cheese or any lemonade” like you couldn’t have said that the first time when you said yall were out of chicken??? So.. he calls me back and I tell him what I DIDNT even want but that’s all they had and we had already paid on the app and then all they had was diet drinks hi-ci and water..really ok so let’s just say we will never be going back. And all of there attitudes are horrible.. like they just can’t stand being there or something. I just hope all this bs gets fixed and resolved because their losing customers everyday because of...
Read moreUpdate. Tried it again and it's still the most disgusting Popeyes in America. Old, cold, oil drenched soggy Chicken served with a bad attitude. I hope they close down soon. Whoever is managing this franchise deserves to go bankrupt. The Popeyes in Valley just win a National award and they deserve it. You on the othe hand are making people sick.
Previous review: I don't know how, with a brand new building, a great franchise restaurant with sparkling new equipment the new Popeyes could be so utterly terrible. Now given, my review references about 1.5 months after opening. But if they are not careful it will end up the same as Johnny's Pizza that was across the street and lasted only one year or the old Popeyes on Commerce.. The people of Lagrange welcome new restaurants but expect at least decent food and service. Johnny's failed b/c of substandard employees that were improperly trained, and couldn't make a decent Pizza. Thats it. Hire better, Train better, Keep the place clean, and make better Popeye's Chicken or be...
