DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! GO ELSEWHERE! We were not greeted as soon as we stepped in the door by any of the 4 employees at the hostesses area. Server (Claudiu) got us drinks but failed to get our drink order correct for one our 4 drinks. Food was ordered and did not come out in a timely manner. Appetizer was not seasoned as expected and not clearly indicated there was some heat to the rib tips (apparently they assume your are an expert chef and know it will be spicy). Additionally, the rib tips had small bones in all pieces (WHICH IS A SERIOUS HEALTH HAZZARD/CHOKING HHAZZARD!). All meals served were very sub par at best. Prime rib appeared to have sat out at one point causing the meat to be dried out in some areas. Cheddar mac and cheese was ice cold around edges and barely warm in center (indicating dish sat at the pass awhile prior to delivering to our tables). Burgers were over cooked and fries barely warm (but edible). Drinks were not refilled when empty. We were never asked if anyone was unhappy with our dishes, simply brought us the check. We paid the bill and tipped accordingly for the poor service. We were then rudely asked why the poor tip due to he has a family and 2 children that he has to support off the tips and wages he makes. We responded with the reason as to why (which was based upon performance). Poor performance/service ='s poor tip, pretty self explanatory in the food industry. We then had a 5 min conversation arguing about why the poor tip and why we did not say anything sooner. Simply put he never noticed that there were issues with any thing, when it was clearly obvious if he would've checked in with us. Instead he chose not not check in with us. It was rather shocking that during this whole conversation that was heating up quickly, no manager or assistant manager came to check out the situation. Poor management if you ask me. Needless to say I hope the rest of you reading this really reconsider your choice of where you'd like to have a great lunch or dinner, because this place isn't one to find it at. Take your money elsewhere....
Read moreI was craving BBQ Ribs! My party investigated several other establishments, only to find their online menus were inaccurate about having ribs (one was right next door to Lake City Social). I was very happy to have walked in and finally found a place that was open and actually had ribs (it was Monday evening). We were politely greeted and quickly seated. The environment didn't stand out. It was simple, almost barren and dull. But I didn't mind, I wasn't looking for an event. I just wanted ribs. The waitress was brand new, she said it was her first night on her own. We made life easy for her, everyone at the table ended up getting ribs and fries. It seemed to take a while to get our food, but the beer was good and the company pleasant. When the ribs finally came we dug right in. They were very tender, moist, nearly fall off the bone. Once you bit into them a slight pull would take nearly all of the meat right off. They were well seasoned under the near caramelized BBQ sauce - wet, just like I like them. The sauce was Sweet Baby Ray's-esque. Might have been, but I didn't ask if it was homemade - should have. Either way, this was exactly what I wanted. I can respect a good dry rub on a rib, but more often they turn out overly dry on the inside. I don't like ribs when the BBQ is put on as an afterthought. Getting a well made BBQ sauce heated on the rib right before actually being caramelized is the sweet spot for me. Lake City Social accomplished that, and I am grateful. The fries were average, but who cares. Everyone got full racks, and I got the left overs. It was a good night. I'm Arnold about this place!...
Read moreMy husband and I had dinner here when we went to the Wisconsin Dells. The restaurant was clean, it had modern decor, and a nice atmosphere. The host greeted us with a smile and seated us right away. The restaurant was busy. Our waitress came right to our table as soon as we sat down to take our drink order.
We had cheese curds as our appetizer. The beer dip that they serve with the cheese curds is good. You can taste the beer in the dip and it’s made in-house. My husband ordered the Wisconsin Double Smash Burger with loaded mashed potatoes. I ordered the Steakhouse Burnt Ends Sandwich with a side of the creamy tomato and cheese curd soup. The food was delicious.
The burger was big. It should come with a knife to cut it in half. My husband tried with his butter knife but gave up. He just ate it that way. He said the burger was well, but it was still juicy and flavorful. He didn’t read the menu really well. The mashed potatoes came with a sauce on top. He’s not a fan of gravy, but said he didn’t mind the sauce.
The burnt end sandwich was very tender and had a nice smoky flavor. The creamy tomato soup was thick, and had chunks of tomatoes. It was like a mix between a tomato bisque and creamy tomato soup.
I’m glad we stopped in to eat. The waitress was friendly and answered questions we had about some of the menu items. She didn’t rush us by handing us the bill right away when...
