DISCLAIMER FOR VEGANS and NOT VEGETARIANS!!!!!
I’ve been vegan for 7 years and unfortunately one of my favorite vegan pizza places was closed today. I decided to give this place a try. I guess shame on me for not sticking to a fully vegan spot because I ordered a vegan pizza half vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni and the manager said ok sure.
I live 30 minutes away so I got the pizza and considering the restaurants surrounding an area that is bad I decided to wait to check the pizza until I made it to my parking spot. Once I arrived to my parking spot I opened the box and I made sure it was half cheese and pepperoni as I requested (with the expectations it was fully vegan and I noticed the enormous size it was). My car inside light doesn’t work so I did all this in the car without the inside car light on.
I finally make it home and as my family and I was beginning to eat I notice that the pizza pepperoni seems like it was real meat. So I called and the manager to ask him about my order and he says the pepperoni IS real meat and it was a miscommunication between us. I said there was no miscommunication because I specifically asked for fully vegan pizza. How and why I would not make that a specific when I’ve been vegan for 7 years and I can get sick from eating that. He says that he’s sorry and that he will give me half off a pizza. I said why would I want that when this is my health? Not to mention I will never come back because apparently they do not have any other vegan options aside from cheese. I asked him what about my health? And he offers a half off pizza ??? Like what the hell is that! Why on earth would you do that? It’s not about the pizza price it’s about listening, education, and being considerate. I say education because when I asked him if I order a vegan cheese and “real”pepperoni pizza is that vegan? He says yes. This is ridiculous and him and all the other restaurants that claim they offer “vegan options” are possibly lying intentionally or just not educated enough to know what it means to be vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, plant base, lactose free, etc….
So if you are vegan I would not recommend. Unless you want they so called...
Read moreBE SURE TO READ THE ADDENDUM AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS REVIEW: I previously have given nothing but rave reviews about this pizza joint that I have to add to that now because three days ago I went in and ordered two slices one pepperoni one sausage and 8 hours later I was violently ill with food poisoning. I actually thought that the sausage tasted funny so I scraped it off the slice but evidently I didn't scrape it all off because it's still had enough potency to put me down for 2 days. Food poisoning can happen anywhere to any restaurants kitchen but I do not take that as an excuse because if you care enough about what you do you make certain that your food and your equipment is 100% clean there's no excuse for serving tainted food with tainted equipment ADDENDUM: I received a response from the posting that I had given regarding getting food poisoning at this pizza restaurant but rather than handle it inappropriate fashion. the person that communicated to me basically just made excuses and denied any wrongdoing actually when it's far too correct me stating that I must be wrong because that couldn't possibly be there a restaurant let it be known that that was the only thing I had eaten that entire day so there's no way that it could have been anything else except that pizza and I even scraped that topping off in the restaurant because I thought it tasted funny I didn't think it was spoiled I just thought it tasted funny I wish I hadn't eaten at all I know where I got the food poisoning from. And keep in mind that I'm a level 7 reviewer local guide on Google maps and I got hundreds of reviews and millions of people that have seen my postings millions keep that in mind mr. business owner... My postings have been viewed by literally millions and...
Read moreNeed some food, and was great Spring Street, so decided to give this place a try. Had a Calzone instead of a slice, it wasn't bad. Not the best calzone I've ever had, but good. I would've gave it a 3 or 4 star instead of 2, but giving it a 2 due to customer service. The initial person who took my order was rambling about other customers and her personal life in an unprofessional way. And, the other server grave me an attitude after I complained about the refill of water she gave me. It looked milky and she said, "Oh it's LA tap water, that is how it always is." I was like, "No, I've lived in LA longer than you've been alive (she's in her 20's, I'm in my 40's), and I've never seen water from the tap look like that." I just ignored her after that, paid my bill, and left. The food was ok, but I'll go elsewhere due to poor service. Also, I had to ask for water 3 times after my order to begin with. Not...
